Kwacky do you use the AT much? Typically I see you're riding the MV or the Versys

Not as much as I wanted to. It was bought to do the big road trips but I couldn't make France last year and this year is a wash out.
I do use it though from time to time. It's got about 5,500 miles on the clock.

Its a keeper though so doesn't really matter as you will get your use out of it and being easy on the mileage is better if a keeper. Keep her for special trips

Last day of quarantine before heading out to work tomorrow.
They have these insects up here called midgies, which are a variant of biting sandflies, I seem to have a bad reaction to them. So last few days I’ve been on anti histamines and going outside only when necessary. The anti histamines make me drowsy so it’s been mainly Netflix and naps.

Flying off to the platform today.
Never normally worry about the chopper flight but on this day in
2017 - in emergency with a suspected spider bite, whole lower arm in a bruised rash.
2018 - Flown off the platform on an emergency medivac with a twisted nut
2019 - Nothing notable except was still off work recovering from the spinal fusion
Let’s hope today goes smooth

I wonder if anyone has tested to see if they can transfer the Cv19 virus, as they hop from victim to victim.?kiwikrasher wrote:Last day of quarantine before heading out to work tomorrow........They have these insects up here called midgies, which are a variant of biting sandflies, I seem to have a bad reaction to them. .......

Re: What are you doing today ??
I went to the Chiropractor last night for the first time about my stiff neck, frozen shoulder, headaches and a stiff and weak lower back.
She was very excited as we ran through my history as there are a lot of injuries for her to explore and correct.
If you've never had anyone dig their fingers into your oversized and rigidly stiff hip flexors then you aren't missing out. Oooh that hurt!
I'm good at self-relief via cracking but she went crazy on me and I crackled like a sparkler. She was enjoying herself
I feel good today, stiff neck since being at the desk but I'm trying to keep scapula shaping.. possibly causing some of todays discomfort.

Apparently not. It seems that Covid-19 is more or less strictly an airborne virus (which also can adhere to surfaces)...there's nothing to suggest that midges, or any other insects, are carrying it and/or spreading it.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Came home for dinner today to do an essential job, fix my mother's 1968 Brother sewing machine, it's the first time it's broken. They really don't make them like this anymore.
It was the capacitor in the foot pedal, gave it a clean up and repaired the connection and it's off for another 50+ years. She's making a lot of face masks at the moment.

Does your mum make them to order? Mind sending me her details? I guess we all need some soon.Stonesie wrote:Came home for dinner today to do an essential job, fix my mother's 1968 Brother sewing machine, it's the first time it's broken. They really don't make them like this anymore.
