Re: What are you doing today ??
After an unsuccessful morning working from home I came into the office at lunch time. Now I'm just about done from an energy and hunger standpoint (totally forgot lunch) so I'm going to try and push through another model before heading home.
I really do have the praise the flexibility of my new employer and particularly my manager. No one in our team pushes their luck because they have great respect for both and it's clear why

I had a walk up to the bank and ordered a copy of RIDE, on my days off I tend to just keep out of the way and day dream of taking the bike out for a good blast.
Might commute on it on Sunday..

Having a weekend off from teaching.
I’ve been home schooling my two and Jess’ son this week as school holidays finished. Despite having to navigate three different school ‘learn at home’ systems, I’ve quite enjoyed it.
I’ve kept it very structured, they’ve still made their school lunches each night and we stick to a timetable and have a sports period where we go for a good walk each day.
Byron has been doing really well with it all. I think the lack of distractions and more one on one attention is helping him a lot.

We have followed a very similar approach Kiwi.

Ok. Back to home schooling today.
Except the teacher hit the navy strength gin a bit hard last night and is struggling. Luckily sport was first period and I got some good mountains air into my system.

Not sleeping...
It's now 4:30am, I've been on the go since 8am. Yesterday including a late shift at work. I'm frickin knackered but just can't get to sleep.
Trying a hot chocolate and 5 mins telly to see if I can unwind a bit.

Re: What are you doing today ??
You did the right thing getting up rather than lying in bed trying to force sleep Nutz. That never works.
I normally manage 3 hours kip then get up make something to eat and get a drink and make myself comfy with a blanket on the Sofa and then put something on telly I need to concentrate on to occupy my mind and focus on and that normally allows me to nod back off.......eventually.
Failing that get some Nytol for short term use.
Hope things improve. Sleep deprivation is not good.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I find that by shutting everything out and concentrating solely on my breathing...the sound of it, I usually nod off fairly quickly.

Re: What are you doing today ??
The hot chocolate did the trick, plus I've been allowed to sleep in a bit too catch up. Managed about 4 hours in the end, hopefully tonight will be better as I have another 2 lates to go.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Hot Chocolate is a great distraction and tool for sleeping. Usually makes me nod in within half hour. Failing that I put on deliberately boring videos on YouTube and leave them playing next to me.
I agree with you, Perks. We used to have Footy 9-10 on the astro and I would never be asleep before 1. I'd have to be up at 5 for work the next morning too.

Seems I follow the TS way for a healthy life.
Exercise in the morning, drink copious amounts of alcohol, wank in the evening, struggle to sleep ...... do the latter two again and comfort eat, job done, sleep like a baby
