My knee is getting super swollen again. I've got just 3 more rides to do before I'm away for a week in Cornwall, I think that'll be enough for my knee to settle back down again

Presumably. Diarrhoea and vomiting. Mother in law has taken care of our dog and son so we can both sleep. I had about 1 hours sleep

....I feel that way about those two all the time.
Glad to read that you're improving somewhat.

Blown my knee out offshore. I’ve been given a lackey to do my ladder climbing and running about, I just have to tell him what valves to operate and where.

Good news is I’ve been taken off Fire Team Leader as well. Had an actual call out a few days ago, which luckily was a fire detector failure. Didn’t know that till I sent a BA team in though. Highest heart rate I’ve had for a number of years.

Ouch! Nowt worse than knees or back going out on you.
Well, both going out at the same time would probably be worse, but you get the idea.

How did you manage that?

I put a small tear in my meniscus a couple years back but it seemed to recover ok. Last break I did a couple of big bush walks and the knee flared a bit. But then came offshore, major service campaign on in my area, so lots of ladder climbing, crawling around equipment isolating, including kneeing to access valves etc and it just got angry at me. Hammy’s are super tight as well which hasn’t helped.

Still getting around ok atm, but any torsion forces hurts like buggery and it’s popping and cracking lots. Swelling is starting to reduce.

If it's any comfort my wife's knee is improving after her operation.

Since about the 3rd day of my holiday and no cycling, my knee is bollocked! It got better after my 100mile ride but its given way or twisted and locked about 6 time this afternoon. One time I was holding my boy and thought I was going to drop him and land on him.

I've had a really stinking cold this last week. Finally got some proper sleep last night, so hopefully on the way out of it.

I've had a growth on my face decide to go rogue. It started to hurt, it changed size and it scabbed up. The doctor assures me it's showing none of the signs of skin cancer. She thinks it is seborrhoeic keratosis.

I'll keep an eye on it. If it starts to get really ugly I'll get it taken off.

Definitely watch that mate. Superficially the symptoms also match a BCC. I ignored the one on my nose and it lead to a substantial op and skin graft.

I saw the doctor and she told me it's fine. There is no depth to it, it's not bleeding, it's symmetrical.

She has told me what it's called. I'll have to find the information sheet she gave me.
