Re: What ails you today?
Another session with the physio today. My neck movement is a lot better, as is the pain. I also noticed least night that I've regained a lot of dexterity in my right hand that I didn't realise I'd lost.

You may well have a slight/minor tear or two.... it's a common injury among cyclists.
Keep the weight off, Ibuprofen, & rest.
Might be brought on by not stretching before a ride?? I know you're supposed to do stretching before, and even after a ride, but to be perfectly honest I always felt like a right plonker standing in a parking lot wearing Spandex & doing stretches like I'm preparing for ballet class.

I've never liked stretching before exercise, I always found I got injured when I did. Static stretching post-exercise is definitely something I should do... but ergh! Will need to do some research on what to do for those stretches really.

Re: What ails you today?
I had a sniffle about 5 days ago, that has turned into a sinus/chest infection. I’ve done a RAT test every day and all 5 have been negative. I’ve woken up today with a massive headache and really chesty so think a PCR test might be in order

Re: What ails you today?
Couldn’t get in anywhere for a PCR yesterday, reduced hours on the weekends and a lot of places have stopped doing them now there’s been a move to Rapid Antigen Tests. But felt heaps better anyway, and better still today so what ever it was I’m getting over it.Kwacky wrote:Let's hope it's just a cold
I’m pretty certain after 5 negative RAT’s it wasn’t COVID.

You're not missing out, trust me.
I'm still getting a stuffy nose and sore throat from time to time.

I had it early on and it was 6 months before I could take a deep breath without pain, you're not missing out at all.

Yeah I’m quite thankful it’s not despite the joke above. It would screw everything up here, kids starting back at school, Jess’ current nursing placements and me getting back to work next week.

The Wife is exhausted and it's triggered another M.E. flair up. I'm heading home to relieve her and work as much as I can from home.
She's had about 3 hours sleep over 2 nights and 5 hours at most all other nights for the last week.

Re: What ails you today?
Off to the doctors tomorrow. While I haven’t got COVID I’m pretty sure I have a chest infection. Cough has got worse after two weeks of having it and I’m super breathless today.
Don’t think I’ll be flying to work on Monday at this rate.

Re: What ails you today?
Not really ails me at it's part of getting fixed, but had my first of three courses of shockwave therapy on my planter fascia.
It's a very odd feeling, like being punched inside. Really hoping it works as in 12 months of gone from being able to comfortably run 20 miles, to not being able to walk 3 without being in pain.

So I have a chest infection and bronchitis. So that’ll be at least a week delay to work.kiwikrasher wrote:Off to the doctors tomorrow. While I haven’t got COVID I’m pretty sure I have a chest infection. Cough has got worse after two weeks of having it and I’m super breathless today.
