Making the most of bunking of work early and the sunshine so sparked the barbecue up, threw a couple of steaks on and sipping a brandy and ginger beer (lol)

I was lucky enough to get tomorrow off, it's my day off but I was on the list for overtime...

Might fit those brakes to the bike and test them.

Oh, I don't envy you at all. At least you can drink cold refreshing drinks on the way back (beer)

Flew up to the Gold Coast for a 4 day weekend away. Jess has a convention she attending up here and since it’s only an hour away from Brisbane I’ll be driving up two of the days for Physio sessions with Uncle Rog.

View from the apartment bedroom, that’s the convention centre in the shot so nice and close!

I've pulled it. The advice is not to travel to London. They've already started to cancel trains and Virgin are running a slow and limited service after midday until 8pm.

Yeah, it's way too hot, it's a day out of the office for nothing and I'm away next week so I need to be working on my files before I go away.

On the plus side I've been invited to McDonalds with some of the junior assistants.

A trip to another doctors earlier and now just catching up on Emails, applying for another job and generally hiding from the sun, it was 31°C at 10:30 this morning.

Might watch some more Stranger Things later.

I drew the short straw today, so I've been outside in the full glare of the sun watching the world go by.
From a positive perspective, the weather has had a strong influence on the clothing choices of the young women in the area. I tried to ensure my attention wasn't distracted too much. (Enough, I would say (blush) , just not too much. )

That is definitely an advantage of living in a warmer climate ;)

Enjoying the rain. The heatwave has ended and the temperature has halved (40 to 20 degrees). Wicked storms and big rain today.

A day of soaking rain after 6 weeks without any and extreme heat is very welcome. Lovely week next week and the plants and animals can breathe a sigh of relief too.

Phew.

Should of popped by Infinity Motorcycles today to order a pair of Gloves (Rukka Gore-Tex Autumn type gloves). I only have summer and winter gloves which are good for those seasons but I realised that when I was away in Scotland the Winter gloves were overkill and made me sweaty. I missed that due to what happened on the way home from town
