My back. Bloody old man syndrome taking me down again. It's been giving me grief for weeks (since camping) about to see the Chiro for another appointment. The muscle ache I can handle but the cyatica pain is what kills me.

Weirdly, my ankles, they're stiff and sore from the climbing and walking we did earlier, of all the problems I've ever had from my legs it's never been the ankles. Ho hum.

Stupid... That's my biggest grumble with coming off nights. You try to talk but your brain and mouth just won't play nice and you comes cross as half drunk. I have to apologise in advance if I have appointments or meetings while I'm switching back.Blade wrote:Insomnia and feeling dead and stupid after coming of nights
And the floaty spacey sleep deprived feeling isn't pleasant either.
Hope you get on track soon mate.

Managed 6 hours sleep last night. Best I've done in nearly 3 weeks. I'm happy with that weirdly

Re: What ails you today?
Try some yoga, perkles. The breathing techniques learned are as good as any drug you can take.
Been doing it for 4 months now and the benefits are not confined to that as it builds really good core strength which is really useful when riding a bike hard. I'm still trying to work out how the tiny female teacher balances her whole body on her hands in a sitting position. Amazing stuff.

Re: What ails you today?
Most blokes scoff at yoga but I did it for 1.5 yrs, 2-3 times a week. Quite amazing the effect it had in me. So much more aware of my body, really helped my back issues and the breathing exercises was great for sleep and stress.duke63 wrote:Try some yoga, perkles. I had one day I remember where I wanted to just kill everyone, I was uncontrollably angry with everything. I was texting with a fellow yoga mate and he told me to go do an 5 min headstand and then get back to him. The pure concentration needed to do the headstand and breathing cleared my mind and when I came down out of it I could believe how angry and stressed I'd been, and was quite calm.
I still use some facet of my yoga training every day

Yoga doesn't exclude the above mentioned and actually increases the enjoyment of one of them if both participants have had yoga trainingBlade wrote:I m sure yoga is very effective, however Im sticking with the traditional stress relievers of sex and beer much more enjoyment to be had

I looked into tantric sex but I was put off the instruction video by the size of the bird's bush which was visibly blowing in the outdoor windkiwikrasher wrote:
