Re: Green or White
I know you have been following what Johnny Mack did to his in PB mag, Blade.
I don't think you will go far wrong following similar lines. He loved the bike.
This one seems to have the right mods done with proper kit already so you can concentrate on spending cash on the things that makes this bike your bike. Should have a few months Kawasaki warranty left on it too.

Re: Green or White
If its only race bikes then i don't think its going to be an issue to Blade.
Racing is extremely tough on gearboxes, quickshifter or not.

Re: Green or White
You need one of these Proshift systems, Blade. How cool is this?

Congrats Blade!!! Bit late to this due to time differences, but
I have a HM on mine, works fine, but it's an '06.

Re: Green or White
Thanks for the offer Cornish I would imagine it would be better to post on 1000rr. For me to buy it and then try and source a loom on its own will work out expensive.Cornish wrote:Well if you can get the wiring loom for the zx10 I've got a second hand HM plus Ive just bought for my blade yet want an exhaust instead so maybe up for sale...
Talking of 1000rr and Blade parts I will be listing some in a week of too.
Will be listing wilbers shock, Leo Vince can, power commander, Ses rearsets plus loads more.

Re: Green or White
Got to speak with sales rep tomorrow as he is off today. He needs to schedule the bike in the workshop and speak with courier. We only did the deal late yesterday so didn't get chance to finalise the detail.

Sorting a specialist bike courier out to drop it off and pick mine up. As you say not the weather for a 500 mile round trip.

Re: Green or White
Started window shopping for bling already.
Don't want to buy anything until I actually have the bike but made enquiries all the same

Re: Green or White
All made in jet young man as we're connected via 1000rr forum as you know. I'm popping it back up there as thinking of maybe changing bike again soon.Blade wrote:Thanks for the offer Cornish I would imagine it would be better to post on 1000rr. Can't wait to see the bling on the ZX10r my friend. Enjoy it, it's one of the only brand SuperBike I've not owned yet...hmm that's got me thinking

Re: Green or White
Depends which way you want to take it. Has it got any braking mods? If it's the same as the zx6r you'll want to put twin race lines on. The standard master cylinder is pretty decent. The steering dampers are usually upgraded (I presume it's the model with the ohlins?)Blade wrote:

There's some very nice Lightech stuff for them.
Loads of racing mods, from full looms, dashes, stacks, head gasket kits etc.
Arrow seems to be popular for the full system
Accossato do a QA

Re: Green or White
The HEL brake line is a 6 line kit as ABS model which could be a nightmare to bleed when installing.Kwacky wrote:Depends which way you want to take it. Has it got any braking mods? I had seen the lightech rearsets and there very nice

Its got a Akrapovic end can on now but might swap for a Leo Vince Factory R with D Cat pipe. As the headers are full titanium construction with hydroformed collectors they reckon a de-cat and slipon is as good as a full race system. and produces very good power gains, not that it needs it.
