Went to triumph for some gaskets and saw a nicely farkled Tiger 1050 in the same blue as my sprint... It was hard to walk away from as the taller riding position would suit me better. But I decided to stick with the sprint.
Now to pull it's fairings off for the eleventymillionth time to swap the exhaust back to factory.

No pictures but what a cow of a job, and I inadvertently flexed an old rusty oil cooler line which is nolonger available to buy new.... It's not leaking on a short test ride so I think I got away with that. I would have been better removing the cooler all together but didn't want to disturb the crusty fittings.Stonesie wrote:

Rode the Multi in the cold and rain to get a roadworthy certificate. Wasn’t even worth coming home the long way. Plus currently in lock down so wasn’t going to risk it.

I got bored so I've given the Honda a bit of a wash. Hosed it down, quick jet wash then a play with the snow foam before another hose down. The rain came so I've not given it a hand wash.

Cleaned the chain on the Honda. It's not been done for a while.

About 90 miles trying to avoid showers and checking everything out after a load of work recently.
All A-OK and she pulls well with the standard exhaust, better than with the Delkevic with it's baffle in and no headache after a ride is a winning combination.
Got to wash the bugs off now. That will test the waterproofing I did on the alarm wiring.

Did you get there a lot quicker than expected. Lol...Kwacky wrote:Took the MV into to work.
It's not designed for commuting
I used to find that with the KTM.

The engine seems happiest cruising at about 90mph. Which I'm happy with as well but I don't think old bill would be

Yesterday I managed to do a last second trip into wales. I had to bail on Monty's trip which i was gutted about. some great roads, so I went to explore some more. Had to visit Devils Bridge for cake. Well this time is was a lovely warm brownie (GF) with clotted cream. Very delish.....
A long day, but when the sun is out and just right temps, Wales it bloody awesome.

That's the National cycle route 81, at the top of the Elan Valley, fantastic road.

Its where you have to just chill and go with the flow, sheep, bikes, slow cars, single track, but awesome views. Nice little chill to let the cake go down lolMonty wrote:That's the National cycle route 81, at the top of the Elan Valley, fantastic road.

Just a quick run up to Squires with my neighbor for an Aberdeen Angus burger, very nice it was too.
I was also gawking at a Honda NR, I think it was the 750cc oval piston oddity. 8 valves per cylinder and 2 con rods.
I remember learning about them when I was an apprentice mechanic for Honda fresh out of school and having many questions about how they got oval piston rings to work.

Gave the SX a once over to make sure nothing will fall off.
Adjusted the lever positions.
Put some sunlight protection on the plastics.

I'm genuinely amazed at how much better looking the SX has gotten.. it was definitely the tourer end of sports tourer when it came out but now it's a lot more towards the sports end. Possibly the best looking Kawasaki now.
