Same here, had a cooked breakfast, drinking plenty of tea and reading a good book, all whilst watching it belt down outside.Kwacky wrote:I'm watching the rain.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Sitting at the Qantas Lounge waiting to do my commute to Darwin then offshore tomorrow. Really not looking forward to this swing, missing my sons 8th birthday and Fathers Day, plus have a 4 yr shutdown starting the day I land on the platform. Then after the three weeks I'm only back home for a week and heading back out for an extra week for further shutdown manning. Guess I can't complain, they pay thru' the nose for offshore over-cycle (overtime) and it'll cover my track bike purchase and the family holiday at Xmas. It's just the mental aspect of spending a week of my break back out there.

Getting into work late because the by-pass to the motorway is down to one lane so I went along to the next junction and the traffic lights are out over that junction.
On the plus side I got to listen to the first CD in the Grandmaster Flash box set. Old School.

Spent all day trying to wear the kids out at a play farm.. Mission successful
Noticed that the server wasn't playing fair as I couldn't get onto tankslap at all !! Have spent an hour in the bar "investigating server issues", the reboot seems to have solved it so the beer was justified
Off now to do some damage to a bottle of wine

I'm on holiday today, but Sarah is working so I dropped two kids off at my Mum's and took the twins to McDonalds, an Audi garage and DK Motorbikes.

Keeping my head down while my boss goes on one of his famous pre-holiday flaps, trying to do stuff in a week he's had 3 months to do and asking me why I've not done it for him.
