Sickening isn't it?
I'm trying comfort myself by offsetting it against the costs I would have incurred by not commuting for a year. I've saved on at least one service, a chain and sprocket set, two sets of tyres, a shit load of cleaning stuff and gallons of petrol.

Yeah but you need those. It's my own mistake I've had to get a new battery. Live and learn.

To be fair, you saved a lot more than £400 by not using it!
£270 for discs AND pads?! WHAT THE HECK! I paid over £500 just for discs, the cheapest option was still high £400s. As for pads, I'm lucky to get them for £75

Plus I've had the money in the bank from selling the Versys, probably earning me a massive 0.0001% per annum.

Ebc discs and HH ebc pads from deamon tweeks... On the KTM sdgt I found a pair of Brembo gold series discs for £285 on eBay with free postage from Italy... Not anymore.Cav wrote:To be fair, you saved a lot more than £400 by not using it!

Collected a new battery for the Honda. I'll fit it tomorrow and hopefully get out on the bike for a bit to check everything is ok.

I swapped the after market fuel cap on the MV back to the standard. I don't want to give MV any excuses for refusing my goodwill warranty request. Not that they need one.

Nope.
I've not chased them to be honest. The MOT is due on the 20th this month. They can keep it until then if need be and do the lot before bringing it back.

I went to the chemist for my prescription on the bike, somehow it took me 40 miles to get the 1 mile home
The bike is deceptively fast, more so than the SX which had a buzz from the engine, this thing is smooth and sounds like it's not trying, also the upgraded suspension is smooth and composed, yet firm and sporty... I need to give it and myself a proper workout on clean roads but I love it so far

Out on the Multi fir a couple of hours with Jess. Pub lunch and 27 deg C sunny day.
Although I’m a little dusty, I upgraded to business with points for yesterday’s flight and the attendant seemed keen on me getting through as much red wine as possible

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Got a deposit on the GB400TT today, this guy is dead keen on it, will be his first bike and he hasn’t got a bike licence yet.
So I pulled it out of the garage and started it for the first time in 4 months or so, second kick, fired into life!
Hopefully he’s going to view it this weekend and commit to the sale. He was keen to buy it sight unseen (other than photos) but I said I’d rather him see it first.
I’ll have to ride it down (2 hours away) to his for him if he buys it as he can’t ride it yet!

Rode the GB into town for a pinkslip (MOT), it’s still a enjoyable ride, but definitely feels flat when you twist the right wrist
