Dropped the Honda off to see if we can get to the bottom of this clutch issue

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yesterday I changed the EBC Vee discs for a nice pair of Brembo's, the pulsing through the bike was too much and when I took the wheel out I saw that the ABS ring had been hitting the sensor. The Brembo discs are thinner at the hub by 0.75mm according to my micrometer, so that should cure that problem and they don't have the aggressive petal design of the EBC's so the pulsing should be cured too.
The EBC HH pads have stayed as they have very few miles on them and are flat, no grooves worn in to them.

Rode it. First time in six weeks since the op.
No issues with riding or using the controls.
Glove feels a bit weird with half a finger on one.
I suspect the cold will be an issue as it seems to be with any broken bones over time.
Felt great to be back on the bike though i think the weather is about to stop any more riding for this year.

Great to hear, Duke!
If you find anything that works with preventing the cold getting into your hand let me know. Ever since my bone graft my hand feels the cold really badly and can be debilitating.

Took it to the shops at lunch time, first time I've had a chance to ride it since Mallory.
It's a bit colder now! Let's just say, I've lost my winter throttle finesse..

Yeah, might be sensible to take it out of dynamic next time though.. possibly could do with checking the tyre pressures as well.Kwacky wrote:So long as you kept it upright

Checked the tyre pressures, 10 psi under going and rear
that probably didn't help the handling the other day.
Having been epically stressed with work, life, and everything in-between, I've booked today and tomorrow of work and with the sun shining, today was bike day.
Cracking ride down to Portland Bill, with a stop of for bacon and tea, bit of a wander round and some lunch and then back home. All in all 7 or so hours in the saddle.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Well I took it out for a short spin, ended up near the sea on the south coast, massive 4 and a bit hour mega ride. Stopped once to fill up that was it lol....
Past the front gates of Goodwood as well.
Rode some roads I have not touched for bloody ages and also found a really nice road A285, took a trip to the Pirbright S's..... where the Police used to ride, I doubt they do anymore, its all down to 30 mph!! Boo....
Then started to feel a little chilly.... glad I made it out.

Haven't done the purbright bends for years. Went there with my IAM observer for observation and overtaking practice. That was bloody good fun, and also when I found out you can scratch on a GS
I can see why they dropped the limit, the number of cages we used to see wedged in the scenery was quite impressive.

Picked the Honda up. Showers on the way to the dealer. Torrential rain on the way home. Showers when I put the bike away.
