To get more houses on the development I guess.kiwikrasher wrote:Looks good Blade, but why do they build them so damn close together!

This may have something to do with it.kiwikrasher wrote:Looks good Blade, but why do they build them so damn close together!

Are you sure about that Blade....that figure is SOOO out of the ballpark in sheer construction terms it's beyond scope.
You have a link or sommit, mate??
Sorry Monty, I still can't agree with you.Monty wrote:Yep, we've spent the last 30 years not building enough houses, and now we're blaming immigration
Never mentioned number of houses in relation to immigration, just population density per km2.Monty wrote:Yep, we've spent the last 30 years not building enough houses, and now we're blaming immigration
To be fair, I sit on several UK Govenment and Scottish Assembly steering committees and they don't agree with me either!StMarks wrote:Sorry Monty, I still can't agree with you.Monty wrote:Yep, we've spent the last 30 years not building enough houses, and now we're blaming immigration

I think there on a timer or so I'm told but not installed yet. If there LED they might no be too expensive to run hopefully.
Worst case I can turn them off and replace with some LED security lights with pir sensor. Have to see when I get in tbh.
In fairness there only there as I insisted on street lighting. Originally there was nothing planned. I got mine and 4 neighbours done otherwise there would be nothing but darkness.
Any pics of the new house matey? I love looking at houses
It's a stunning house Blade no doubt! Sounds very well thought out but I'd expect nothing less from youBlade wrote:I guess our money would go further privately Kiwi but it's the convenience of a new home that sold us plus we like the modern layout across 3 floors. The kids have the top floor with their own lounge and we have down stairs with a buffer floor in betweenso plenty of room to give everyone their own space and everyone even has their own bathroom so should be very few clashes if any.......hopefully anyway
Never said you did!Blade wrote:Never mentioned number of houses in relation to immigration, just population density per km2.Monty wrote:Yep, we've spent the last 30 years not building enough houses, and now we're blaming immigration
UK Population Density = 414 people per km2
AUS Population Density = 2.8 people per km2
But you raise a valid point if we haven't built enough homes for 30 years and the population density is growing excessively high then perhaps the problem of an increasing UK population is worse than first envisaged.
