It's decent. Lots of nods and tie ins with the other films. It ties in between Allen and Aliens.
They try a little too hard at times to copy iconic scenes & phrases.
The characters are a little 2D, I had most empathy and attachment with the cyborg.

I liked the first one the best... to all intents and purposes it's "Jaws" in space....best horror movie I've ever seen. It's an incredibly well done film, IMHO.

Alien is one of the greatest films going. It's pretty much unrivaled as a sci-fi horror. Sublime casting, amazing direction, exquisite suspense. That opening scene in the cockpit of the ship waking up sets the tone. I could watch that scene on repeat.
Using Giger was a genius move. We hadn't seen anything like that on the big screen.
