Prince Philip
Despite speculation he's not dead, simply retiring from public duties.
I guess he'll have to do all of his casual racism in private now.

Re: Prince Philip
I met him once, at Holker Hall.
Well when I said met him, what I actually meant is he shouted "Bagger orf, out of the way" at me and I gave him the finger.

Re: Prince Philip
I have met him on many occasions (along with most of the Royal Family) and in most cases he alway made me chuckle.
But I used to dread his callsign coming up on the radio. If he saw someone who he thought was a drink driver he would radio it in and we would have to go charging to the opposite end of the Motorway for what invariably just turned out to be a tired driver.
He meant well, but it was a pain sometimes.
I will miss him though.

Re: Prince Philip
He used to regularly drive himself with his protection officer alongsise in the passenger seat.D41 wrote:Wouldn't he have a driver/bodyguard....someone who could tell him to shut the fcuk up??
The 2 of them came across a crash on the M4 one night which I had to attend and I got talking to hos protection officer and I made the very point abot getting him to stay quiet.
Apparently it was tried. The protection officer was told to "Shut the f*ck up" literally and so the subject was never raised again
Back in the day, Philip had a Scimitar (which I remember was a nice car and something I always hankered after despite being a Reliant) and it was his toy which is why he was often driving rather than hos protection officer.
