I wonder when the last time Westerners, pissed off with a decent life in Europe or North America, said...."Here's an idea....this place sucks....let's go and blow ourselves up in the middle of the fcuking desert!"

Re: Syria, Immigrants and world politics.
Education is the only answer that will stop it once and for all.
If someone can show the insurgents/ terrorists/ bombers there is a better way to be a Muslim then that will make the difference.
We live in a world where different religions and nationalities live together in places everywhere across the world. Even if you somehow persuaded the world the only way was to segregate us how long before one nation wanted to rule another?
There is no ultimate answer as there will always be a power crazy nut in charge somewhere.

As nice as the idea of education is you can't educated people who won't be educated.
Hatred bred in the womb is not going to go away probably ever but certainly not by education.
It's the unfortunate truth that some times force is nessecary to stop evil. Not nice but that's the world we live in I'm afraid and the only way I could see us ever all united is if there was a global catastrophe that forced man kind together to survive as a species.

But no one will win by bombing them. Best just to leave them to their own devices in their own Country but we wont even do that.

Yeah....but the less we try - even in the face of adversity...the more like them we become.Blade wrote:As nice as the idea of education is you can't educated people who won't be educated.

And then they win.
And that's not going to happen. Ever.

Re: Syria, Immigrants and world politics.
I'll simplify my opinion to a Bully attacking a weaker victim as personally that's how I see it.
Let's say a Husband is throwing acid (chemical weapons use) into his wife's face on his driveway.
It's no threat to me, it's none of my business, it's on his property (sovereignty) and I may not be legally entitled to intervene.
Am I going to walk by and ignore it ? No
Am I going to try and educate the bully and give him details of an anger management course? No
Am I going to use reasonable and appropriate force to diffuse the situation if that is what is required? Yes
Very simple scenario granted and not a perfect analogy but that's how I see it personally. Not forcing that opinion on others but if I see innocent, defenseless people being bullied or terrorised I would always want to intervene, as it feels the right thing to do imo.
I can see that afterwards we need to try and educate the bully but for me some acts of aggression require a measured use of force as the response. It's the language these people converse in unfortunately.

Interesting view here on this very complicated situation.

People forget how many Europeans fled to African and Middle East countries during the second world war.

We reap what we sow...
BUT...it's not like we didn't have a long history in those regions prior to WWIi, either.

I fear that the massive orchestration of Russophobia over the last two years is intended to prepare public opinion for a wider military conflict centred on the Middle East, but likely to spread, and that we are approaching that endgame. The dislocation of the political and media class from the general population is such, that the levers for people of goodwill to prevent this are, as with Iraq, extremely few as politicians quake in the face of media jingoism. These feel like extremely dangerous times.
It's been a wideheld belief that the next major war will be in the middle east. Syria looks like a great place to hold a proxy war. It wouldn't take much to drag Turkey, Iran and Iraq into the mix. Russia could use that as an excuse to go into Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Black Sea would become another area of conflict
My only doubt about this theory is that the US wouldn't want Israel to be put at risk.

I think you need to look at the Israeli plan for "Greater Israel "

Re: Syria, Immigrants and world politics.
That's not going to happen any time soon. Israel would piss off half of Africa. There are a lot of African countries who may lack the technology and weapons but do have the numbers. Saudi has the cash to buy the weapons to defend its self and Iraq has been armed by the Americans. Turkey is always spoiling for a fight, their president is a Turkish version of Putin.

It's not going to happen all in one go but in the years to come piece by piece I have no doubt that the Israeli's and their Zionist allies will make this happen .
