Got an update on some surveillance we're doing. One of the cameras got wet and froze over, so we're getting bugger all footage today

Ah! I did a Victorian house ceiling once and it was packed with rubble, bricks, stone, glass, fecking everything. I ended up with 2 feet of rubble on the floor!

On the shuttle to Darwin airport for my 5.30am flight to Timor, then helicopter ride, then 12 hr days for 3 weeks, yay...
Had a fantastic 5 weeks off with Jess and the kids so shouldn't complain, but I'm going to anyway

It's pretty much standard practice in construction to throw trash away like this...even back then too I guess.C00kiemonster wrote:Sound about the same as hereMonty wrote:Ah! Re: What are you doing today ??
Went to sports shop yesterday at the skate rink. Looking into getting some cheap ice skates off ebay. I always loved skating (played roller hockey and did aggressive skating when I was in my teens) always wanted to get into ice hockey but the kit was more pricy and I couldn't afford anything more than what I got. But I want to go skating a bit more this year if I can pick some up cheap then it's not really a big loss if they only last a year then have to throw them away. However when I got to the shop it was closed even after looking up the times stating it doesn't close until 7PM!! So heading off later today just to go check sizes of skates so I can look on eBay!

Freezing my knackers off again this morning. Getting feed up of scraping the car in the morning, still at least I'm not cycling. Brrr.

Woman had some sort of seizure/fit in the street as I was coming out of the bakers , stayed with her and got an ambulance called .
Another woman got a blanket and a cushion from her car for her , it was all a bit disconcerting , I've never seen or had to deal with anything like that before .

Re: What are you doing today ??
Had a stressy morning as I was being pulled in 3 different directions with 3 separate customers - all of whom were adamant I had to be there right away - 2 of which are mine, the other is a colleagues - who very conveniently arranged for himself to be in darkest Wales out of phone cover. Two problems are resolved and the third is a work in process, thanks to prolonged phone assistance it's no longer a screaming emergency - relegated to a visit next week to sort properly.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Had a busy day yesterday as we went to try on some skates and had a chat with the shop manager. I remember when skates were 100 odd quid I said and he said skates have massively dropped in price now due to so many people getting into it now and people finding the ice rink skates crap so the cheapest he does for a very good skate (Bauer) was £55 which I'm considering as it's not too much for something new like that!! Anyway found some used ones on eBay for 20 quid Bauer ones as well if I don't win the bidding war then I'll just go get new ones and give the shop manager the business.
Then went off to pick my misses car up from a service. Long story (look in rants thread)
Then did the food shopping
Got home around 2030 pretty long day bearing in mind we get up at 5 AM each day, very rare we have a busy day like that to be honest.
Now it's the weekend and I can enjoy myself!!
