Re: What are you doing today ??
25% cut in my job role apparently which is clearly a big cut as we pretty light on numbers already.
Have no idea how safe I am or not. The way I'm looking at it is, nothing I can do about it so don't worry. Being a old hack both me and the missus have dealt with it before and we are still here. It's not a death sentence its just a huge inconvenience finding another job at worst.
Being positive I have skills and still relatively young and willing to work so whatever the future holds I will be ok. Family and healthy are important, work is an inconvenient necessity and nothing more imo.
I'm well past climbing any copprate ladder. I just want to do an honest days work for an honest wage.

Nothing I can do to influence it so no point stressing or worrying, what will be will be, good or bad.

Well that's a bit of rubbish news.....like the others, I hope it all pans out for the best however it works out.
Totally spoiled what I was going to post, which was a quite excellent piece of news for me...I leave it 'til another time.

Realising after a shower and getting dressed before heading to the gallery for breakfast that I set the 4.20 alarm on my phone instead of the 5.20.

Working out what all the bits and bobs do in Mrs Gee's new (to us) car, as the previous owner has purloined all the manuals..... What good is it to them without the car? Grr!

Gave the old Mazda a wash. It's showing signs of ageing now. It'll do for another winter then we'll scrap it and get another cheap second car. We've had our monies worth from this one.

Re: What are you doing today ??
We're in almost the same situation but a bit ahead of your Mazda with our old C-Max, we've had it just over 10yrs and it'll need a battery, 2 tyres, a clutch and new brakes in the next 6months. In addition to which its drinking oil like an alkie polishes off Special Brew. It owes us nothing to speak of, but now just isn't safe or reliable enough for my family, so it's got to go.Kwacky wrote:Gave the old Mazda a wash. It's showing signs of ageing now.
