Re: What are you doing today ??
Freaking out and trying to get everything packed and sorted for the first camping weekend away in the camper trailer. So not prepared. Camping was so easy when it was just me all those years ago, but trying to get it all together for me and the kids as a solo parent has stretched me more than I realised. I knew I was losing it when I was trying to find a fitting to attach a gas regulator to my ancient 2 hob gas burner and gave up and bought a brand new Webber Baby Q portable BBQ for $300. The main problem is I only pulled the camper out yesterday to check every thing out (was supposed to be last weeks job but the gastro hit) and spend half of today fixing things on it.
0830 hrs depart tomorrow. I'm going to have to get up at 5 to finish packing.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: What are you doing today ??
BMW. Good suspension and good brakes.
Quickshifter very crude and engine not the midrange monstar everyone says it is. I rarely ever hold my zx10r on a full open throttle but found myself on the stop of the twist grip many times today wanting more and I'm no riding god. Don't mean to sound arrogant but the 160 bhp s1000r engine doesn't feel like 160 bhp. Although Andy does say the s1000rr engine is mental with a huge top end.

Re: What are you doing today ??
4th day in the mountain passess today and had a ball on the S1000R on some seriously twisty roads.
I've ridden plenty of hairpin bends over the last few days and where previously I would have said my ability in the hairpins was 1 out of 10, thanks to plenty of practice I'm now more like a solid 7 out of 10.
Had an absolutely brillant holiday and chuffed to take away from it some much improved riding skills.

Re: What are you doing today ??
S1000R is a good bike in the tight stuff with the wide bars and easy drop in plus would have to say the good suspension and very strong brakes helped. Was triggering the abs in the dry today on some very heavy down hill braking

Going to a Rhodesian Ridgeback owners club show in Stoneleigh Abbey. I don't own one but would love one, I'm taking Mrs and boy to see how they like the breed.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just got in. Mrs and boy loved them, my boy won't go near my mums shih-tzu as the thing is bonkers and yappy but within 5 minutes of being there he wanted to approach the dogs and stroke them bearing in mind one of the males he went up to was about 10stone! It's a definite go that we're getting one but I want to find a good breeder etc.
