Quad Bikes and Bikers
What is it with people who ride quads on the road? I've just to see one who didn't think he was some OG in Compton out with his boyz in the hood.
It all kicked off last night at the well established bike meet at Bassetts Pole. Blokes turned up in vans then unloaded quad bikes and started acting like grade A twats.
I'll see if I can get hold of the video. It's probably on youtube.

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
That was odd??
Why did the police vehicle just run right into the quad?? Must've been something happening prior to the footage, methinks.
Just can't run a quad on the road here....not even close to being legal/

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
Same in Aussie, can't have a quad road legal, it doesn't comply with ADR rules. You can have one conditionally registered for recreational use off road (bikes have to be registered even if only used off-road unless purely on private land) or for farmers so they can legally travel between paddocks that may required travel on a public road.
I see no sense whatsoever in having them used as a general road going vehicle, it's just asking for trouble.

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
Since the quad rider tried to do a runner when he saw the plod car, i guess something had gone on before.

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
In my rather limited experience quad riders are tarred with the same brush as Supermoto riders, - f*** everyone else, I'll do whatever I want especially if that means insanely loud exhausts and riding like a Kn*b. I've not met a rider of either type of machine I'd want to enjoy a pint with.

What a respectable and lovely polite man it was making the video.......not.
The Police do a difficult job having to deal with idiots like that day in day out.
Would be interested to hear what had gone on earlier.

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
That's mobile phone footage from someone who was there. That's the only footage I've seen.
I'm fairly certain there's CCTV around there

This has been going on for weeks, seems that the quad squad have been taunting the police for ages, I think they have come to the end of their tether and said enough is enough.

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
I haven't been to Bassetts for years at there has always been a steady flow of Wankers ruining it for people who do actually want to go and have a social evening. Can't stand chavvy twats like mr-face-down-on-the-concrete, hooning like mad around, with their hand bags flapping away on their shit tracksuits like they're late for cashing their latest giro or they're running from the (more often than not) teenage girl that they knocked up behind the co-op. Not that I'm stereo-typing you understand...

Don't know what happened there but the quad bike has slicks on aswell must have done something before hand I think.
The police car tries to drive in front of him and he tries to ride off buy looks of it as the drivers door was open

Good spotting Mark. The collision wasn't planned or intended till the quad biker tries to flee.

Re: Quad Bikes and Bikers
Even the guy filming is admitting the quad biker did something wrong, i have trouble with the accent but it sounds like he says 'why can't you nick him properly, you don't need to ram him, you're being lazy'

Cop cars should come equipped with a frickin' Howitzer these days. Be great for recruiting purposes.
