Re: Big 50 track bash
I got given a pass for a Euro Trackday this year as a last hoorah before knuckling down and buying a house so I doubt I'll be able to go next year as well.
I've heard really good things about Cartagena, very cheap too

Yes It's certainly more a 600 track than 1000's IMO.markrsvr15 wrote:Is that cartagena abit small for 1000s just what I got told never actually been myself haha

Re: Big 50 track bash
Dave the truck driver said Cartagena was tight and twisty. He said the first time he went he did not like it but when he started flowing round it it's his favorite track. Also said there was more there round the hotel complex etc. I have emailed BBS for there dates. The May trip i went on was under subscribed only 35 went.
Heard good things about pacedayz they are normal groups not open pit lane but it is cheaper. Also Redline seem to be getting decent reviews they are new and there base is just down the road from me.

Re: Big 50 track bash
Almeria is a great track, so is Cartagena, while we are on the subject so is Jerez. However the 3 day event in April is my favourite one.
1) 3 days open pit - Gives you time to build up over the three days, no pressure plenty of track time
2) Decent food for lunch
3) Great Hotel and with Breakfast and evening meals always very nice
4) Lots of stuff to do down in Mojaca as well - eating and drinking out
5) great crowd of people.
6) Fuel on track so no need to go off to get your own fuel
7) good back up in terms of help, instruction, tyres all sorts
the drive to the track is a simple one, Cartagena is a little more long winded imo from the hotel

Re: Big 50 track bash
I really want to do another track day in spain, so funds and family providing I would be in..
I've only done Jerez, but really enjoyed it. I think the main part of the enjoyment was the organisation and people involved, I guess if it was a BBS event then the people and organisation would be the same so the track not so important.

Re: Big 50 track bash
Do you know how popular that one will be? Would there be enough spaces to get a few of us there?

They were over subscribed this year, they managed to take extra bikes in the back of 2 vans.Kwacky wrote:Do you know how popular that one will be? Would there be enough spaces to get a few of us there?
