Entertaining myself with some online shopping. After getting bored looking at trainers I ended up buying a new Barbour wax jacket.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Nup! I have 4 and 5 week breaks between my work swings offshore and I never get bored or don't have enough to do. In fact i never get enough done! Granted I'm single parenting 2 primary school aged kids so that takes up the bulk of my time, but I'd happily stay home if the salary kept comingRossgo wrote:Problem is if we didnt work and could do anything we wanted at any time, wouldn't you get bored because there isn't a challenge?

Rossgo please tell me this is a wind up ?Rossgo wrote:Problem is if we didnt work and could do anything we wanted at any time, wouldn't you get bored because there isn't a challenge? I understand why we have to work and I do enjoy it because it allows me to do what I want to do (with in reason obviously) but what I don't understand is who the hell made up the ruling of 40 hour weeks (full time) why couldn't they of made it 20hr weeks for full time and full time pay [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]

Hahaha...well it may sound strange but I think I would, maybe it's my age and maybe when I'm slightly older my opinions May change lol. But I am serious who created the standard 40hr week because that person does need to get shot!!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Nah...it's OK. You just keep yourself occupied. I do quite a bit of charity work, I work out...running and cycling. Do some writing. Play music. A bit of reading, etc. Borrow a motorcycle from time-to-time for a quick blast. Life is not "exciting" per se, but it's definitely not boring.Rossgo wrote:Problem is if we didnt work and could do anything we wanted at any time, wouldn't you get bored because there isn't a challenge? Amen to that. I reached that point in my life where it's clear chasing the dollar isn't all we're told it's cracked up to be.
Time with family and friends is underrated. Time at work feels like it's time wasted.

Talking of work, I've just submitted my end of year appraisal form. Judging by the silence from my boss it's not gone down very well.

That's what I'm expecting too Kwacky, but it does look shiny and new atm, they don't need to know the historyKwacky wrote:I can hear the laughter from herekiwikrasher wrote:Enquired about a trade in with my Daytona on a used Multi...
They do have a handful of old/high mileage bikes listed so they aren't averse to trading in a old dunger.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Plan to attack the track fairings this time home Perkles, so hopefully it will be a go shortly. All the hardware is sitting there ready to slap on. Track days are going to be harder to do these days, probably only saturdays now as the ex has the kids most friday nights when I'm home. Mid week would require her to take them the night before, a before school care booking and the MiL doing after school duties. That would be calling in a lot of favours!! But if I can book well in advance as they fill quickly, saturdays shouldn't be too much drama.Perkles wrote:When you getting out on track again kiwi

Re: What are you doing today ??
Well they came back with a offer which was more than fair, so I will be going down to have a haggle with them when I get back. The Multi is a 2010 one, but only has 16,000 kms (10K miles) and it'll cost me max AU$13,000 (£ 6,700) change over.kiwikrasher wrote:Kwacky wrote:I can hear the laughter from herekiwikrasher wrote:Enquired about a trade in with my Daytona on a used Multi...
