My lad is the same age. He turns 10 this August (which makes him the youngest in his year at school)

LOL that's true, if my first phone went off in a shop/pub/public place I used to go outside to answer it!

Rode up there on the hire bike some great roads that suddenly turn to farm track roads was very nice to see it on a bike thoughBlade wrote:Been to Loro Parque today. Took the scenic route there over Mt Teide 3710 metres at the top.
Unfortunately we were in a hire car but two travel sick children and a nervous wreck of a wife late we arrived with screaming hot tyres and an engine which may have said hello to the REV LIMITER a couple of times, haha
All joking aside Tenerife has some brillant biking roads. Awesomely twisty and most are race track quality asphalt
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Tbh Rocket you must have been on different roads to me as the ones I drove were truly race track asphalt.rocket wrote:Rode up there on the hire bike some great roads that suddenly turn to farm track roads was very nice to see it on a bike thoughBlade wrote:Been to Loro Parque today. Re: What are you doing today ??
Some of the roads were good. especially the national park roads round teide but out side of that lots would be pot hole ridden mud and gravel on the roads due to being farm track entrances on to the main road

Filling in my annual appraisal form.
I'm struggling to get beyond "bored, in need of a new challenge".

Why say that? Not necessary and frankly sad. Try being more positive - it does work.D41 wrote:Frankie wrote:I do love me early morning walks down by the river ha ha

Being Grumpy
Just had 11 days in Holiday Village Tenerife and now got 11 hours in the house before I have to disappear into work.
Suppose I have to earn the penny's for next time but I'm not happy and boy were the kids not pleased either about going school. The youngest had a plan this morning that we all hide under the duvet for EVER, which as cute as his idea was it didn't have much appeal past the next 5 minutes....haha

Re: What are you doing today ??
Problem is if we didnt work and could do anything we wanted at any time, wouldn't you get bored because there isn't a challenge? I understand why we have to work and I do enjoy it because it allows me to do what I want to do (with in reason obviously) but what I don't understand is who the hell made up the ruling of 40 hour weeks (full time) why couldn't they of made it 20hr weeks for full time and full time pay [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES]
