Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Stripped and cleaned the CCT as preventative maintenance.
The manual says the stopper should be out 3 or 4 notches when new and although it was free to move the stopper was only out 3 notches suggesting no adjustment in 8000 miles of use.
The bike had a very slight ticking noise prior to servicing the CCT so I suspect it was just about to click out its first notch.
As it can be set 3 or 4 notches from new I set it at 4 notches out and is now much quieter.
Only took 30 minutes for the whole job and 15 minutes of that was removing and replacing the side fairing panel.
Worth it for the peace of mind alone

Rode 86 miles round trip with a nice 20 min stop at the watercress line where we saw a steam train leave the station.

Prevention is certainly is better than cure.

Chain adjusted.
Tried to find the annoying vibration sound. Stripped the front cockpit area out and tightened stuff up.
Was going to wash it but it's started to rain.

Yep....low or medium...the high strength stuff you have to break the fecker loose.
I like to coat the tips of the bolts in the stuff, let it dry, and then bolt it in....can't remember if that's what they say to do it, but otherwise it gets all over the place.

Put the mirrors , reg plate etc back on the 999, also fitted the new grips and gave it a good clean.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yes mate thanks got abit to confident in damp but drying conditions on track road tyres lost it out off harpin.
Hands was stinging abit gloves did there job boots broke the ankle support leathers hardly a scratch weird.
Knee abit sore had to kick bike away as it was coming at me after I fell off that span me over then I was sliding on my front haha was over quite quick really you don't really know what's going on do you when you crash not the first and won't be last.
Completely my fault rider error nothing to do with conditions i shouldn't have tired to ride like that should have waited till next session when some rubber got layer and was abit more grip

Yep, as Blade says, we've all been there. The good news is only your pride is bruised.
