Star Wars cast announced
Original Star Wars actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will feature in Star Wars: Episode VII, the latest film in the franchise.
Other actors confirmed are Andy Serkis and Max von Sydow, alongside relative newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, both of whom are British.
Episode VII will start shooting at Pinewood Studios, near London, in May.
Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker will also return as C-3PO, Chewbacca and R2-D2 respectively.
R2D2 and C3P0 have to be in it, it's effectively their stories.
Not heard of the new faces apart from John Boyega who has been excellent in the TV dramas I've seen him in.

Disney are involved so it could go either way.
I'm going to expect disappointment so I won't be disappointed.

I think the casting for Episodes 1-3 let them down more than anything. Anakin was very poor.

Considering Anakin was the heart of the story, both versions were very wooden indeed.
Re: Star Wars cast announced
The whole thing had been tarnished. The new ones will be shite.
I'd still bang Carrie fisher now though.

That sums it up for me, 3 kids films masquerading as Adult films. For the record jaja binks is my most hated sci Fi character ever, and I didn't see the other 2 films just because of that. Wtf was Lucas thinking?D6 wrote:yes. And the guy that did anakin was crap. And the stories were shit. And the effects were too cartoony. Loads of new photos on that link.
I like the idea that they're using less CGI. It'll look more like the first film.

The Falcon only looks half finished - do we think it's fully functional like an incomplete Death Star?

I can't believe he "accidentally got the photo" while taking photo's of another plane.
Real props are much better than CGI. CGI just never looks quite right.
