Re: What are you doing today ??
So the clips arrived to fit the drivers window back into the golf, well so I thought. If you are not aware the window fell out, well into the door, when I went to collect the track bike (back from Jerez)
Anyway clips came, in the driving rain I fitted them, something was not right, cables were all too short?? Can't be right, anyway stripped the motor and the cables were all chewed up and frayed, little a dodgy clutch cable.
So more gaffa tape to hold the window in place, ordered the window regulator as they call it. Bloody hassle, the clips just fall to bits it's a nightmare job. Now waiting on the bits to arrive for another try next weekend
Managed to get the back wheel down to Gary. @ GS, so a nice new PR4 on the rear, next weekend will be the front.
No rush as the golf is on the drive which blocks the garage so I can't get it out anyway
Don't really want to drive the car as the window may fall out

Not watching the motoGP, blocking "on the track" threads, yelling at any workmates that try to talk about it!
The race was on during my shift tonight but it's being replayed at 10.30 am tomorrow. So after finally swapping around to night shift and sleeping through the last couple of days, I'm going to screw it all up and watch the motoGP. Hoping to get a couple of hours sleep, watch it then get back to sleep for about another 4 hrs. Hopefully it'll work!

Re: What are you doing today ??
While taking the dog out for a walk last night I found a hamster in the middle of the road being watched by a cat! I shued away the cat and went back inside to get a box and got back to the hamster. Poor little thing was wet because it was peeing it down last night. My partner has posted it up on this gossip girl page on Facebook to find out if the owner is on it.
Unsure where the hamster has come from but if we don't find the owner it looks like we have a new member of the family.
Trying to decide names although my partner doesn't agree because she think I'll get attached haha
Hammy the hamster
Or
Henry the hamster?!

Hahaha [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND TIGHTLY-CLOSED EYES] love it! It's strange I don't like little things like this to me their all rats, but the fact he allowed me to help it get out of the rain, feed and water it and it's slept quite comfortably makes me think he's quite cute really! Haha

Re: What are you doing today ??
A little update of hammy the hamster. Owners aren't anywhere to be seen but we noticed him looking after his eye by keeping it closed. Last night we was really worried for him so decided to take him to the vets at pets at home for a check up.
Poor little thing must of been attacked or soenthibg as the vet has said it is very badly scratched.
We have got some medication and because of The situation the vet said he wouldn't charge us for the check up only the meds (very nice of him) but he has said that if the meds don't work the hamster will need to have his eye removed.
It's really upset me poor little thing. My partners brother may take him as he's used to little animals like this having owned/ still owns chincillers. So at least it looks like Hammy will be able to stay with someone who will look after him

Re: What are you doing today ??
Another update with the hamster. He has now gone to my partners brothers. He knows what to do and bought him a nice new hamster cage with a wheel and everything so he won't be bored.
My dog and cat are a lot more chilled out now, think they both thought they were being replaced but normailty has been restored once again
