Re: I want a go
That wing suit lark is a bit hairy, not saying the zip wire isn't but becoming a large stain on a mountain is distinctly possible with that hobby, iirc there's been one or two top guys wiped in the last year doing stuff like that. Either would be a huge rush for me though!

Re: I want a go
When I was at Chamonix, winter before last, there was quite a number of people jumping off the cliffs with the squirrel suits.
I was doing some off piste with a local guide, when one passed over us. It wasn't at all like a high speed hanglider, it was like someone had been dropped off a cliff, and he was so low that I reckon if I stuck my ski-pole in the air he would have hit it.
They sure have some serious balls, but at the speed they go, very little room for true "control".
When we discussed the wingsuiters with our guide he was singularly unimpressed.: He informed us that "every year some get killed", and that it was part of the mountain guides job to retrieve the bodies. He said that when they did they took bags as well as the stretcher, because the body parts were often spread over a large area.!

Re: I want a go
That looks brilliant although I don't think I'd fancy the initial jump to start the zip line!! 119 mph is impressive!

Re: I want a go
Don't look at bike crashes in the far east. They tend to be riders and pillions without any riding gear on. Guts over the road isn't pretty lunchtime viewing.

Kwacky totally agree but to be honest the Americans aren't much better, they ride in shorts and t shirt with trainers [FACE SCREAMING IN FEAR]
