Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Ha ha what a day, I think I thrashed too hard in the morning while a tad wet....got stuck in fast group in the afternoon, this being a chrono day.
Think it was a little messed up to be fair, it felt like a really fast inters group...I know Mick was doing quicker times than me, but was not in my group.
Considering what the forecast was, we had a hell of a day.... pics and some onboard close ones to follow ha ha

It was mate, a nice long track with different climates around the tack and surfaces, old and new, we got told how slippy the old tarmac can get compared to the new stuff...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I don't know mate, they just post up the groups list during lunch. I think it was more to do with how I choose to ride in the wet/damp conditions first thing compared with others, as soon as the track dried out it went from not being over taken by too many to little waves of people coming past
As always it was great to meet up with Mick and have a fun day bombing around a track.
They will send us our lap times via email sometime like before.
I know when I did some timing on the wall for Mick on one session he was doing consistent 1.45's, if like last time I would be about 7/8 seconds slower than that, we will see.

Which circuit Frankie.
The bsb superbike record for the GP circuit is 2.06 which is what I thought you said you were on.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
After lunch I was moved into group 1 along with the guy next to me in the garage on his Panigale we both did the first session after lunch but feck me there was some slow guys out there but more scarlilly how soon they braked for corners and the erratic lines that were took, we both complained and were re instated back into group 2, he did say the times are chosen on your first 5 laps in the morning for the groups in the afternoon !! it was raining for us at that point so we weren't exactly fast ! he did admit on days like yesterday the chrono system doesn't work well. There were fast guys in slow, novices in fast etc etc. A farce TBH. I was going to get some pics but when I took my transponder back the queue was huge so didn't bother. A great day though as always and the weather was great compared to the forecast. Chipping 2-3 second off each TD so just need to do another 20 and i'll be fine
Frankie was doing brilliant on the S1000r and he was getting his knee down top man

Thought I would split this as not everyone reads the long running bike thread.
Looks like you both had a good day.

Re: Silverstone Track Day
I have my times and all seems to be ok (I bloody hope so - it felt fast - I was in the fast group, mine have to be correct? Surly !!)
Morning times were 3.59/3.43/3.05/2.54 - then it was between 2.40 and 2.49 and the into the late 30's, with a best time of 2.33 which seems to be a one off.
I am hoping now this is my data sheet they sent to me, it has my name at the top
Well if its not, who cares I had a ball and that's what its about....
But I DO want it to be mine
