New route on our trip....
With autoslaap definitely in Administration, and after speaking to David (MD of Railsavers) the train is sadly discontinued. Apart from waiting to get out £933 back (as promised, but we are not holding our breath) we have decided to do another route that doesn't involve the train. If we kept the original route, getting back from Florence to Europort in 1 day (1,100 miles) is not on the cards, even for the seasoned ride-out!
So, we are travelling from Cheshire to Calais for a stop over, then onto Dusseldorf for the night. Then, next day : Leipzig for another night before chilling in Prague for 3 days. Then , back to Leipzig for the night, then onto Hannover for another night. We are finishing off the trip with 3 days in Amsterdam, before catching the ferry back to Hull from Europort (another overnighter) so should be a great trip. I know the roads in Germany are superb so it's game on.

Still shit news about the train.
But the planned trip sounds blissful, although long stops in Prague and Amsterdam question if this is a biking tour or a tour of strip joints

Amsterdamn has change a lot recently, they've really cleaned it up. You can still find the expected sights though.

Cheers! Yup, it's around 1.5hrs away from Düsseldorf, but we will be on our way to Leipzig the day after.
I have seen Sliders before, and it's very well recommended.
Thanks anyway Steve mate.

Re: New route on our trip....
There are a few stories around that place.
Some good and some very sad.
The guy who runs the place is the 'Baron' who was the PB magazine equivalent of the Stig a few years ago.

The sad part of the place is that his lady, Suzi, committed suicide about 6 years ago.

Anything over 40mph scares me.
I wonder if I should start a Dutch wing of TS? Tankslaap.nl
