I've been saving spiders for years...Pitty thinks I throw them out but I just put them somewhere safe to carry on living
I've never been bitten and I regularly pick them up to move them. I really didn't know there were bitey spiders in the UK (excepting the false widows that have made the news) and it isn't gonna change my mind about saving them!
