Has anyone on here got the new iPhone 6 yet? Just wondering if it's as bad as the press make out for bending.

Re: Bendy phones
Samsungs seem to have a habit of crackingt heir screens very easily. I think my daughter is on her third in a year.
So far my HTC has lasted a couple of years, despite my best efforts to break it.

Re: Bendy phones
What planet is this guy on talking about MOBILE phones
Even the most recent smartphones are not designed to be put in trouser pockets - front or back - where they are going to be under the most chassis strain. And this just illustrates the fact that the public's desire for manufacturers to strive for ever thinner and lighter devices means that we are getting ever more fragile devices.
"Just casually sticking a £700 smartphone in your pocket is an increasingly reckless thing to do."

Re: Bendy phones
Where else are you going to put y our phone? Unless you're one of those people who can't let it out of their hand.

Re: Bendy phones
It's very thin and made of aluminium. Suppose it will bend like any other thin thing made from aluminium.

my S3 survived many drops without any problems until finally it landed awkwardly when my GF dropped it and it cracked part of the screen but that was after suffering over 2 years of abuse. I have dropped my S5 a couple of times with a thud but it has stood up well so far.

Fwiw I managed to crack the screen on my S3 last week (well, not "I" actually, but that's another story )R34PER wrote:my S3 survived many drops without any problems until finally it landed awkwardly when my GF dropped it and it cracked part of the screen but that was after suffering over 2 years of abuse. Anyway, less than £5 from evilbay for a new one, which I have now fitted & good as new.

Re: Bendy phones
Joking aside there's a fix for an iPhone 4 that involves getting it hot and then sticking it in the freezer.
No offence but sitting on a brand new £600 phone that's 6mm thick and expecting it not to bend? Beyond daft imho.
