Absolutely shattered after a long feeling week but I'm going on the mountain bike ride anyway. It should be good for me

Cleaning the camera and lenses.
Very therapeutic.
Entirely pointless as it's Motorcross weekend

Spent the morning watching Jess’ lad Haydn win his cricket match, then dragged the teenagers out of their rooms and out to lunch by the river.
Weather is absolutely fantastic atm, so considering a 4WD to a out of the way spot and take the travel BBQ for a picnic BBQ dinner.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Endangering my wallet, after a ride on a 1250GS last week I want one, it highlighted the down sides of the 900XR very vividly without showing me any of it's own. So I called in to my local dealership and ran through the spec I would like to get some figures together.
As it turns out I have more equity in the XR than I thought and to PCP a brand new Triple Black would be about £60/month more than I pay now, and the overall service costs are less as a valve clearance check is so easy on the boxer engine compared to the parallel twin, less labour.
Got some thinking to do. Am I old enough for a Tractor?
Also had a look on a GS forum.... Yeah, I'm going to sidestep those

If you want it and can afford it, Stonesie, then go for it..
Be aware a new engine is about to be announced when negotiating though..

Do it, if you like it get it. They are more than capable at doing everything and very quickly if you want to as well. Just the majority tend to take it easy on them. It is a well established machine. The only thing I would say is make sure you get the full bells and whistles model. As there are so many, the used market and value on lesser models is (was) not great. As BMW did make a push on getting those on PCP to swop keys for newer models frequently, filling up the used market with lots of GS'sStonesie wrote:Endangering my wallet, after a ride on a 1250GS last week I want one, it highlighted the down sides of the 900XR very vividly without showing me any of it's own. Yeah the one they found for me is a Triple Black TE with some extras. The spec list on the TBTE is pretty long.
It even has heated seats, my car doesn't have those
I will have a think, the salesman is off until Wednesday so I will let him know then... I really didn't plan to get rid of the XR so soon, just put new tyres on it

Rare trip into the office.
Got stuck in traffic both ways, and it's only an 11 mile drive. Back to normal tomorrow where the only issue on the commute is..... Erm.... Well.... Nothing
