Tactical & strategic nukes both require clearance from above to use...I hope.
Artillery shells that a tank might carry may well be made from depleted uranium....I think in some circumstances they're considered to be a nuclear weapon, but they're not a nuclear device, they have no yield as such, they're basically just a chunk of lead. Maybe even radioactive lead...but lead nonetheless.

Early discussions in the mainstream media outlets said the Russians have a much faster operation of Nuclear weapons due to a nearly flat authorisation process - compared with the UK

Cav, that's not helping!! :D

I think it's all theoretical/anecdotal to a large extent, as neither country has ever fired a nuke in anger.

Let's just hope they stick to using small fallout nukes if they do use them. If they start using Cobalt or "Salt" bombs then the entire world is screwed in a couple of generations regardless of direct impact.

If just one nuclear weapon falls anywhere, the World as we know it now will be gone for good.

Depleted uranium is not considered ‘nuclear’ it’s just used for its high density. We had depleted uranium Bob weights in the Skyhawks for G-Force feedback on the flight controls. I’ve been upside down in a cockpit doing footwell component changes many times with my head right next to the bob weight and I’m fine…..ish (lol)

Thank you.
I was thinking more like the press....they might well just latch onto a phrase like 'depleted uranium' & just assume it still has to have some doomsday potential, or at least still be mildly radioactive.

It still is mildly radioactive, (approx 50-60% of enriched uranium) when we pulled the counterweights out we had to put them in shielded drums. Yet we were told they ‘were’ safe. The counterweight in the cockpit sat below the control stick between the pilots legs. Funnily enough Kiwi A4 pilots tended to have an extraordinary higher percentage of girls than boys when they had kids. Purely anecdotal observations and Sqn folklore though.

Depleted uranium is nearly twice a dense as water, which is why it’s used in ammunition, the residue radioactive component is not any benefit as a weapon to my knowledge.

There's a huge build up of Russian troops and men near Kharkiv.

This looks like being the nex big offensive of the war.

Ukraine troops are heading south around Kherson. They've made some good gains.

Russia has been able to rotate troops and they've mixed up some battalions. Plus they've appointed a new commander for this stage of the war, so expect a more serious and determined push than we've seen so far in the North and East.

Kill is too kind.

Removing his manhood very slowly, using a blunt rusty spoon, whilst continually dousing the area with bleach, should be considered kind behaviour if you eventually leave him to bleed to death.

That was my other thought, but only if all laws are not applicable.
