He crossed a line when he brought up the that Russia has nuclear weapons - it seems like the press, for the main part, has avoided going into too much detail regarding that statement. Various sources are saying that Belarus will be joining in to help Russia.

Belarus barely has a choice in that. That poverty stricken country sees the same happening to them if they don't side with Russia as they wouldn't be able to join NATO quick enough to stay alive.

Kazakhstan managed to refuse the same request and they're much poorer than Belarus.

The president of Belarus is a Putin puppet. He's very unpopular.

I just find it strange that Russia is begging for help given how Putin keeps bragging how strong his country is.

How many countries have the USA and UK invaded in recent years because we (the government) considered them a threat to us? Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq.

The Ukrainian girl from next door has just phoned my wife. She's been in touch with her family in the Ukraine today. Her mom and dad who live in the east say they aren't getting any news about what's happening. They are relying on YouTube for info. Another member of her family lives just outside of Kyiv. They live in a village and it's surrounded by Russian tanks. The locals have been going up to the tanks asking why they have invaded. The soldiers have told them that they are doing what they're told and don't want to be there. The Russian soldiers have been bursting out in tears. What a **** mess!
