Re: What are you doing today ??
Doing nowt today....it's raining a little bit & is likely to stay that way for the next few days.
So I'll probably just stay inside and play around on the guitar, eat 14,000 calories of dessert, watch TV, etc.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I've been spending a fair bit of time on LinkedIn.. it's bizarre to me.
I also had my dad's profile recommended to me (we haven't spoken in 2 years again now) and his profile picture is from 15 years ago when we went to Florida. It looks like a sh!t wet t-shirt contest as he just got off a log flume.
Any of you guys on there?

Unfortunately I have to use LinkedIn, only in an advertising way though.
Same as Facebook, my profile is as locked disc as I can get away with. But I need to be searchable as I have had one or two contracts find me. Apart from that it's just as useless as Facebook.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I’m on there as we had recruitment people come to the refinery when we all got made redundant to coach us in CV’s, job search tools etc. I only just signed back in when I saw this thread, and remembered why I stayed off. A million messages asking me to connect as they are ‘interested in an oil and gas job’

Feeling sorry for myself.... Slipped over in the bathroom yesterday night, smacked my head on the taps, did not knock myself out, thankfully, if I had I would have drowned I think!
Bit of a gash on my head, very sore, very sore indeed. All this as I was trying to be ultra careful as I pulled my back at the start of the week which was a nightmare trying to work. Was planning on a lazy weekend, well I have that, but a lazy weekend in more pain than i wanted!

When people say, "use your head", they don't mean it literally!
How are you doing though? Any signs of concussion?

Re: What are you doing today ??
Kids are at the exes for the weekend, and Jess and her son are at the big bash cricket (his Chrissy pressie) so I’m hanging at home with the place to myself. Because it’s school holidays it’s the first solo time I’ve had my whole break
Was boring and did housework then did a bit of work on the GB.
Cooked myself a nice steak, salad and roast sweet potato wedges with garlic aioli, all washed down with a nice gin.
Now to find a movie to watch and have the surround system up as loud as l like

Re: What are you doing today ??
LinkedIn..... nope not on that I know of and don't want to be, used to have an account, but I would rather not, serves no perpose to me, apart from allowing others to be nosy about who I am and where I have been.
Head injury, hurts like like, but I think I am ok, will call into drop in or a&e on Monday to check if things change.
I have to say there are those who dismiss social media in all its forms, but the last couple of days from a very innocent post about my slip on Facebook, I had calls and visits and offers to take me to the hospital, food brought over, totally looked after and spoilt, from quarters not expected.
Just goes to show in the Feckd up world, there are still some good people out there. Saying that I still have a sore back from hell, and head that hurts something fierce. But here and no signs of concussion Cav.

Frankie.
Read that back to yourself slowly, and then tell me again that "I am ok".......because your writing makes it seem like you're having difficulty concentrating.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Glad to hear it mate
Maybe just a doc appointment rather than A&E but it's probably a good idea to get it checked.
Also I kind of agree with Darren... your messages aren't reading quite normal

Re: What are you doing today ??
Ha ha no, I think I was half asleep.....
Head injury, hurts like hell, but I think I am ok, will call into drop in Should have said center here or a&e on Monday to check if things change. So in fairness one extra (like), and missed the word center made it look strange.
But thanks for looking out
Just back in from a little walk down the river, did not get too far, only managed 4 miles, the river has burst its banks big time an the path is blocked in both directions.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just applied for another job, slightly strange Email after saying that I had not completed my application, I was careful to tick every box and fill in every field...
Clicked the link to complete my application and there it is, one fully completed application with no option to edit it
Finger's and toe's crossed for this one.
Keeping off the bike today, the gritters were out last night and I will be removing the fairings in the week to fit a radiator guard so I will ACF it then.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I think I've applied for a job every day for 2 weeks now. There are a few very strange websites and I question if they are part of the test.
