I guess although it seems a ridiculous idea from our perspective, it's actually a step up in safety for the target demographic. Now they just have to convince them that a step thru' is not a family sedan.

I didn't chose it, plus I think it's actually a Ford. It's a V40 which I think is based on a Focus.
