Loved Barcelona when we went. Great place. Except they decided to declare independence whilst we were there.Kwacky wrote:Barcelona for 4 days.
Whilst I am not a devout religious person, the Sagrada Familia is worth the visit as a piece of architecture. Quite stunning. Worth booking in advance if it’s of interest.

Went to Basingstoke to do some Christmas shopping. Jeez bought so much but we are left with only a couple of people now. I've also picked up some new hoodies and some trackies just for lazy time and the can't be arsed times!

Yeah the muppets. I had to keep swerving to avoid them on my bike, as the wind kept blowing me towards them.

Its OK D41, they are only 12.5 hr shifts with emergency exercise drills every sunday morning after my shift finishes.....D41 wrote:Ouch! I winced just reading that.
To be fair, after night 2 it's just like being on days although sleep quality is never as good. It's coming off nights at the end that hurts the most.

2 or 3 days to get yourself back to normal? I presume the 5 weeks off follows nights?kiwikrasher wrote:It's coming off nights at the end that hurts the most.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Normally yeah 5 weeks after nights but this swing I was supposed to be on days but have been swapped to nights due to staff shortfalls. So only 4 weeks off and I’ll still do nights next swing.Cav wrote:2 or 3 days to get yourself back to normal? I deem I’m back to normal when I can sleep past 6am and have a morning dump. With prescription melatonin it takes me about 3 days. Without was taking me 5-6 days.

Today sorted out all.my motorcycle gear and cupboard. Jeez over the years I've just binged loads of sh&t in there without realising its sh;t lol. One full back bag of scrap and another of motorcycle gear that I dont use/ shrunk (whoops!). But cupboard looking good now. Now need new slightly bigger gear
Also took a look at quotes for car tyres
Quick fit wanted £600 for 4 tyres, popped down to Costco and they wanted £370 for the same tyres - fine with me! Just need to save the dosh now!

Having a lie in with my hounds. I stayed up for most of the results, so an easy day today and starting to plan our life with Brexit in it.

He good, thanks for asking. He's still having therapy but his therapist reckons he's about 90% of the way there. His medication has been dropped to the minimum amount. He's very busy with work and generally enjoying life.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Woke up this arvo to start my night shift and phone went mad with messages from home. It’s turned to shite with the fires and I’ve go burnt leaves falling in my yard. A fire front with 50-70m flames is 12 km directly west and we have 10-15 km westerly winds. 8 km up the road to the west is under ember attack now.
Work is flying me home tomorrow but it might not be early enough.
