Re: Rossgo
Very sorry to be late here fellas.
Just been very busy lately.
Thank you guys for your birthday messages it means a lot
Well my birthday didn't really go as well as we planned to be fair!! But was defo interesting!!
So the night before my birthday me, my misses and my parent went out to Harvester for a meal which was lovely. A little bit of snow came down but nothing major.
When we woke up the whole place was white! Me and my misses had planned to go to indoor skydiving. I'll be fair the roads around here weren't bad. Infact we literally drove around with no problem so we decided to make our way to Basingstoke as everyone else was driving and had no hold ups on the roads.
As soon as we hit Basingstoke we realised why people abandon their cars year in year out when the snow it's. Basingstoke do not sort out their road with grit!! We saw BMWs doing 360 dounuts in the middle of the road, all busses cancelled and all skidding and sliding as they move, cars been abandoned, and cars crashing!!
My phone died prettt quickly into this ordeal and my misses was being careful with hers.
Bloody nightmare. Spent 6 hours trying to get yourself out of it all. Dug out a couple of cars in pitch black. Didn't get to go indoor skydiving and spent £150 checking ourselves intk the last room available at the plaza hotel! Luckily we managed to ask my misses mum to book us into a close hotel and she spent about an hour trying to find one! But she did all I had to do was pay when I got there SCORE!
People were turning up to the hotel trying to find places to stay, there must of been 6-8 inch worth of snow so people weren't in driving to parking spaces they just got to anywhere in the car park and dumped their cars..in the morning i had to dig out a load of cars to help it get noving! People had slept in their cars, dogs were being brought into the hotel etc
We rang up the indoor skydiving place a few times to say we won't make it and they offered to reschedule as apprently alot of people weren't able to make it. So we rescheduled for March now!!
In the morning while at breakie we over heard a fella with his mate ringing up police and recovery firms to ask if they had towed Amy is Audi away. He was saying he had dumped his car near the M3 and walked all the way to the hotel. In the morning he walked back to where he dumped it and found it missing. He was laughing, I said hope you find it!!
Don't think ill be forgetting this birthday in a while!
This was the first and last pic I took before my battery died.
