Took the Multi in for its annual service and spent a couple of hours on two of these babies.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yesterday was a last min decision to follow my nose, and let the bike decide on the route lol....lots of off track B roads in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, which was fun. Then into Wales, and across to the coast and down the coast road for a while until I noticed the time...
Warm evenings, no threat of rain is the recipe for a long day out, did start to get a little chilly at speed in the dark ha ha... Need to do that again soon. I think next time I will do an early start, i did leave it a bit late.
450 miles later, one numb bum! which i reckon kicked in around 350 mile mark....
If the reports of sun and dry being the main weather until October a few more rides into Wales in order

We did have to have a chat with a couple of fairly reasonable gendarmesKwacky wrote:Took Jane's CBR out for a blast

Completely stealthy cop car - no markings, lights, nothing. It wasnt even clean.
We zipped past at a 'reasonable' amount of greater speed and he pulled us in and gave us a bollocking. Not quite sure if a fine will come - we will see
I'm just glad he didn't see us 5 minutes before

Dropped it off at Blade Swindon for a service. It's bloody peeing it down still got to collect the bike yet I got soaked on way home! Got a 700 Tracer as a courtesy bike, I'm surprised how quick it is and comfy, lovely heated grips with it too, just a shame it looks aweful

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
This was the 700 Tracer I got as a loan bike. It shifts I was surprised. Comfy and easy to ride however it was too big for me, I was barely touching my toes on the floor on one foot. 112 miles I rode on this bike. I got stuck in traffic last night for miles, this thing ate up the filtering!! No issues whatsoever! Looks horrid but does do the job well!
Yesterday rode 232 miles all in across 2 bikes getting to dealer and back.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Today getting new tyres fitted. Going for BT 016 PRO. My dad had a go at me last night as he said he I should of gone for a modern tyre, he doesn't trust the older ones!! I said the BT were less than 200quid fully fitted. Have heard good things about the BT016 PRO anyway so should be ok.
Any experience with them?!

Had them
Hated them. Crap grip in the wet and didn't last very long. If you want a good cheap tyre ultra ED from Avon.

Im very impressed with the Avons on my bike, 3D Ultra Sport's handle everything the big KTM throws at them and now I've lowered the rear tyre pressure to 36psi cold it just feels right, comes up to 42 once warmed up.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Really! I'm surprised I've heard good things. I have unfortunately got them now lol! I tried them out in the dry yesterday afterwards for 20 miles or so, I found them a lot better than the 023s. But havent tested in rain. I've changed my riding habbits now, I tend to use the bike as a play thing, with a mix of commuting but usually in fry weather, unless caught out. So fingers crossed it won't be too bad!Kwacky wrote:Had them

I'm sure you'll be fine. I like to hammer my tyres so I'm picky about them.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Hahaha!! That's fair enough mate. I'd of loved the M7RR tyres again as they were fantatsic regardless of weather but i wanted to try something different so hoping I haven't made a big mistake. For what i have tried so far, I'm pleased but then again so would a wagon wooden wheel from the 1800s compared to what I have been usingKwacky wrote:I'm sure you'll be fine. About a week ago or so i played about with the angle of the lever (brake and clutch) I lowered them 2 - 3mm each. What a massive difference that has made! No longer do i feel lile my fingers have to reach up to get over the levers!!
