Washed and polished it with a coat of Muc-off speed wax for good measure, looks awesome!
And the neighbours think i'm mad using a blower to dry the bike, gets all the water out of the radiator fins so it's worth it just for that. A cheap Ebay pet dryer does the same job as a very expensive 'Bike Dryer'.

Rode home in the rain. I had almost forgotten how to do it.
Some of the roads had white foam on them from all the diesel. Not nice.

Belly pan has got an overhaul, its been on the bike a few years now and has taken a few bashes and bangs.... so i have fixed all the small cracks, and given it a little lick of paint.... managed to get the correct red for the bike,, its not the best paint job in the world, I seem to have covered everything in the man-cave with a fine dusting of primer, but even more of the top coat LOL.......Worth it I think it looks nice.

Took the SD out for the first time in what seems like ages.
Decided to have some fun and set myself the challenge of getting to the south coast and back using without using any of my familiar routes. I aimed for near Bournemouth, I stopped at a cafe just before as it was too sodding hot.

Does it run hot Jon?
The Pani bangs out some heat which is great on a cool day, so not so much when it's 30 degrees stifling hot

It's cooler than the RSV, but that could be down to the lack of fairing and better airflow.Blade wrote:Does it run hot Jon?
The factory fitted "heated seat" did get a bit warn at times though

Washed and waxed the bike. Cleaned, lubed and adjusted the chain.
It was only a cheap DID but it's lasting well.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
The one thing that did surprise me today was the heat in the rear tyre when I hit back home.
I can't remember the last time I put my hand on a tyre and pulled it off sharply. It was fecking hot.
I'm really hoping the news article I read that says we should get used to this is correct

I have found the Z8s to struggle a bit when they're really hot.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Im not really sure what im doing with my bike at the moment. Was meant to be meeting a guy about an R1 today, 2007, 13k miles, all looked very nice but I just don't feel it at the mo. On the one hand I really fancied a sportsbike again but I know that as soon as I try and ride it longer than 5 minutes ill regret it so Ive decided to do nothing atm. wait and make a proper decision next year when I should be free from budget restrictions to a large point.
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I know what you mean. I'm a bit apathetic at the moment. I almost feel as if I should be buying another bike, rather than wanting another bike.
