Looks like it might be a very short and quiet trackday, i might be home again by lunchtime
This is in the email I had this morning.
Just a reminder about noise limits at Silverstone, here are some points to note:- All bikes must be fitted with baffles. Ride by noise limit is 102Db. Static tests are available all day if riders are unsure of their bikes noise level. The static noise limit is 105Db. Please also be aware that ride-by readings will take precedence over static readings in the event of variation. Motorcycles found exceeding this level will be ‘Black Flagged’ and statically tested. If found not to have a baffle, the bike will excluded from further track time.

Is yours that loud then? I've not heard it since the new engine.

I have no idea.
I have just looked at last year's email and it said the same so nothing has changed and to my knowledge no one was black flagged last year. I guess its juts procedure.

I don't think there's anyone living that close to Silverstone so hopefully there shouldn't be any complaints.

Mine sounds very quiet compared to some there. I think it’s just so they can cover themselves if there are noise complaints.

The sound testing is strange down there they did the same threatened that if you broke it they would throw you off.
No one got static tested that i knew of for failing the fly by meters how ever one of the lads in our group asked to get tested to see what his bike was kicking out and he failed the static test by quite some way
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Could you rig up some sort of external deflector Duke63, that reduced the effect on the driveby sensors.?
