Last night shift then 5 weeks off! Got an upgrade to business on the Darwin to Sydney leg too, so might even get a snooze in.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Back to work with a long dinner break so i arranged a pt session at the gym... The first thing the trainer did was to weigh me. Ive put on about half a stone so thats probably why my trousers were tight yesterday.
Back to work in a bit.

Slowly dying.
Up at 4pm for my last shift yesterday, then flew off the platform this morning. Dramas with flights from Timor to Darwin so missed connecting to Sydney. Next flight is red eye. So sitting at the airport, been awake for 31 hrs and I’ve still got a 4.5 hr flight ahead of me. Body now thinks on still on night shift so any chance of sleep on the flight is unlikely. Lost my business upgrade and now the only seat I could get is middle row.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I will admit I prefer the commute I do now compared to the 3 hrs a day I did to the refinery. And a sKwacky pointed out I don’t have to do it often. Even if I’d come off days it would be so bad, but after three weeks of night shift and going so long without sleep this doesn’t feel like much fun.

Rushing about like a nutter....
Minor injuries this morning, as expected I've damaged the tendons on either side of the ankle. Rest is the only fix.
Got back to eat lunch, tidy the house a bit and the drive the wife and her brother to the airport. Got back, fed the kids, and put them to bed.
Tomorrow is the first day back at school and the first time I've ever got then both ready. This could be "entertaining". I've also got to squeeze a full days work in?!?!

This morning went better then expected! Both children ready for school early and back home working by 9:15..
Few hours peace now to get some work out of the way.

Being told how to do my job. I love being told I'm causing everyone's insurance to go up. I defend claims. I can only defend the claims people make. People make claims because people like you think cars have priority on the road over pedestrians. The fact you saw them from 600 yards away means you've not got a defence. Now stop telling me how you want to sue for stress and sleepless nights and sign the form of consent.

Fwiw I'm just beginning to get some downtime, seems to have been a while. "Interesting" time over the last few weeks, albeit not altogether unsuccessful IMHO.
