Re: What do you want to vent about today?
I am glad you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel mate, been there and been as stressed out as you guys, its not nice. Mine was to do with my first ever flat, and being beholden to a greedy low life scum bag who managed to obtain the lease on my block of flats. 2 years of total misery and stress leading to being on the bones of my arse, ill, totally fed up with life, enough to throw the key back at the building society (who would not take them).
Anyway, enough of that, pleased that you are getting to a better place with it all.

That's what we're here for. It sounds like you need a massive blowout on the beer when it's sorted.

Dont worry kwacky there is plenty of beer on the go. Stress relief
Been for a few beers with a couple of different neighbours and some nice lads
The homes, the people and the estate are all lovely it's just the faults and snags that are killing everyone.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
The horrible b*st*rd M25, and every fecker on it tonight heading my way, especially the selfish cnuts that apparently can do whatever the feck they want and dozy feckwits let them.
It was so bad this evening, that I was having some very, very, dark thoughts regarding the said selfish cnuts, I guess everyone has these thoughts though?
* For Kiwi's info the M25 is the ring road around London and probably the most overloaded road in the U.K.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
My wife's annoying habit of asking if I'm ok if I'm not in the mood for mindless chit chat. In the 13 minutes she was back in the house after coming back from Alton Towers i was asked 4 times. I may have snapped at the last time of asking. If I'm lucky I'll get the silent treatment and I can watch the end of this film in peace.

Jeez Blade, you really have had a bad run.
This is exactly why I have never built. I have enough heart ache when I have to get a trade in to do any work around the place. I have high standards for the work I do so I expect people I pay to do the same. As the tiler found out during the bathroom reno's I know my way around national standards and how to apply them. He regretted rushing the job no doubt!
Hope you are at the end of all this drama and get to enjoy the place now.

Blade there's not much more I can say to you over this situation but glad you have fought it and have got somewhere with it. They are cheeky f&*kwits if they think they wouldn't hear about it!

@blade I feel for you mate, buying a house is stressful at the best of times but you seen to have had an endless steam of stress since.
I really do think it's time the whole building industry got some new regulations and monitoring as this is becoming far too common.
What you need now is this -> http://www.tankslap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=5770" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Cheers lads appreciate the support
The end isn't here yet and being honest I'll be glad if all finished by end of October but I m hoping we've turned a corner and progress, standards and relations improve. Time will tell as ive put a rocket up there bottom before only for things to fall back.
The house and estate and area are lovely and we really like it here. The materials used are very good it's just the poor install and constant arguing that is upsetting as its relentless. They don't see you as an important customer at site level. Get more senior people involved and that changes but its a battle to keep on at them.
@Kwacky I see I'm not alone haha

Me chest is knacking. Old injury from constantly being crap at rugby as a teen. Rib has popped out of place a bit at the sternum.
I'd like to say I did it doung sommit cool, but the reality is a bit embarrassing.

Lolz. Nah....stepping out of the shower & twisting to grab a towel at the same time.kiwikrasher wrote:Masturbating?D41 wrote:Me chest is knacking. Old injury from constantly being crap at rugby as a teen. Rib has popped out of place a bit at the sternum.
