You've got a fantastic bike mate. You'll really learn a lot with it.

I've learned lots with it already, genuinely love it. It needs a proper service this year, including new coolant and plugs as everything is pretty old now better to be safe than sorry!

Thought about going for a ride today as we were kid free and my man flu is finally easing up but not gone.
But went for a afternoon ride on something else

Pulled it out of the garage, lubed the chain then put it back in while I got changed... Then it started to rain with a couple of flashes of lightning.
Ah well it's ready for next time.

Bought an Arrow 3into1 low boy for it.
But it is off the road at the moment due to no MOT. Not sure if to service it and put the lowboy on then MOT it and hope for the best.
Or keep the obscenely loud high arrow cans on and send it for an MOT

Get the MOT done first IMO then worry about swapping the cans over.

That's what I thought as the lowboy says off road only I think.
I also need to remove radiator and oil cooler as well as body work to fit it (remove the headers).
Which as I get about 2mins free time a day will take me a while. lol

Booking her in for a service and also while I'm there will also take a test ride on a ZX10R and also the new Blade. Screw it I never seem to be able to ask for a test ride as I get embarrassed and shy away from it as I'm there for a service and as it's all the way in Abingdon which means I won't be able to get home as easily, I have asked and booked in for the rides. That will occupy my time while I'm there. Really looking forward to it!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
That will be awesome mate, be interested what you think of the new blade, I rode the old one and for a sportsbike it was so comfy, but personally I found it a little dull, compared to my old zx6 it just seemed a bit meh, the zx6 was more of a handful, more aggressive and generally in my opinion more fun, so be interested to see what the new one is like (just mind those false neautrals )Rossgo wrote:Booking her in for a service and also while I'm there will also take a test ride on a ZX10R and also the new Blade. I'll let you all know. I'll warn you in advance the reviews will be nowhere new as good as other peoples because this would be my first time on a 1000cc so I'll prob be more nervous than anything else!! But I'll still say my thoughts on them both! Very exciting!!

They've both got traction control - whack it up to the highest setting and pretend you're a road racing legend.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
At the risk of being patronising Rossgo, & I'm aware that you are a skilled & IAM trained rider,,, but.. : Because the weather is a little fickle currently , perhaps pay special attention to surfaces. The 1k sportsbikes I have ridden in the past have all spun up at the smallest flick of a wrist. It's fun once you've accustomed yourself to the raw power, but can catch you out when you've been used to the "sensibly insane" power of a middleweight IMO.Rossgo wrote:I'll let you all know. I last rode a fireblade about 8 years ago and that loved to spin up as you change gears.
