Last two days of my swing, usually try to tidying things up and just cruise it in, but late yesterday I had a major project dropped on my desk and in the hour I looked over it I had a headache. I'm expected to work out how to keep water supply to the accommodation while they remove and replace all the ringmain pipe work. It's no little plumbing job, talking 12 inch (dia) stainless lines and a supply of approx 40-45,000 litres a day

Going through the emails left for me during my holiday. Not as bad as I thought although one expert has dropped us in it with less than 2 weeks to go

Just been for blood test results,still have infection more antibiotics
Not sure my body can take any more tbh,this the 9th lot in a month

Rode 490 miles. Cov to Contin, just a outside Inverness.

Did you get wet ??

It rained twice for no more than 3 minutes, helped me by moistening the flies on my visor so they were easy to scrape off.

You ever use one of those visor-scoop thingies on your glove for that??

They work great for what they're intended. But then get in the way for EVERY. OTHER. THING. YOU. DO.

Had a brilliant ride today. It was mostly single track roads with passing places. Underestimated the route actually and it took longer than anticipated. Bloody good though. This part of the world is stunning.

Flying home

Only a short break unfortunately and at least the first week home it's forecast to be pouring down the whole time

Oh well I'll just have to do a different kind of riding

Which will never be used

Catching up with an old mate this evening over a beer and a burger. Turns out his son has recently moved in not far from me. You know you're old when your mate's kids are living in their own places.

Trying to sleep on nightshift whilst ignoring the hammering going on outside

Booked my seat for return flight from L.A.

Just one more flight and I go to a silver flying club level.

I had a 3 hour meeting with a structural design engineer.

My brain started to ooze out of my ears

Afternoon delight in the hotel room. Had to put the Do Not Disturb sign up as the maids were about. They came back and cleaned the room after we went back to the pool. Awesome service

First impressions can be deceptive. The woman in the room next door doesn't look like a screamer

Relaxing in the sun in the middle of the Brecon Beacons. Full Welsh breakfast now being cooked, with some more relaxing, swimming and a bit of hill walking later, oh and another relax in our sauna to ease out the stresses and strains of the day this evening....
