My two have surprised me with their interest in the Olympics. My daughter is very patriotic for Aussie where my son is barracking for USA because "they make better video games"
When the Aussies bet NZ in the women's 7's my daughter gave it to me like only a 7 yr old can

I watched beach volleyball or some other crap last night....the Brits were doing well in that too.
I still find it tough to fathom that as an Olympic Sport though . What's next......skateboarding & bungie jumping??
They're diluting the whole thing too much to cover the fringe sports...I realise it's all about the influx of money, something for everyone, etc....but the coverage is always playing catch-up.
And while we're on....they have fencing.....foil, cutlass, etc......WTF don't they have frickin' Olympic light=saber dueling yet??
It's a travesty.

Track cycling is SO. FECKING. HARD....!
One slip/misjudgement and you're off by two lanes or more.....I've got no patience for it....too much MTB lack-of-precision in me 'style'.

It's awesome to see Team GB doing so well and very positive to see the good investments made in UK sport and facilities reaping there reward.
Hopefully more UK youth will be encouraged and motivated to put their iPhones and tablets down and go outide and be involved in sport. You dont have to be a PRO athlete just be involved and enjoy sport and it's all round lifestyle benefits.
