Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
The press test event in Spain is coming up soon, so we should be getting some reviews in the not too distant future.
Oi! D6, tell your marketing mates if they want a real world rider to test these then I'm available.

I already told them I was available. Then they looked at the state of my bike and said no.Kwacky wrote:The press test event in Spain is coming up soon, so we should be getting some reviews in the not too distant future.

Not 100% keen on the bars. I'm changing mine back to standard.

I'm going to see when the new Streets are available for demo. I may as well try one to see how it compares to the speed triple.

Cane it.
When I had my Speed, I had a Street as a courtesy bike when it was in for service. Spent all day out ragging it and took it back with an extra 120 miles on the clock. It only had about 25 miles on it when I picked it up.

There is a very good case for ragging the whatsits out of a bike for the first 250 miles to bed the rings/bore properly - almost a professional service by the sounds of it.duke63 wrote:Cane it.![]()

There's no point going for a demo ride if you're not going to treat it like your own bike.

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
The bike journos have got their hands on them today so we should be getting some initial reports fairly soon.

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
Prices:-
Street Triple S - £8,000
Street Triple R - £8,900
Street Triple RS - £9,900
There's an A2 licence version at £7,700 which can be unrestricted to give you 94BHP.
From the initial reports it sounds like the RS is a naked track bike.

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January
Spoken to Triumph Birmingham about a test ride. I'm passing on Saturday so I'll nip in and see them. May as well get the speed and the street tested close to each other.
The R is tempting at that price.
