Fishing a 40kg Ridgeback out of a canal with a 4ft drop.
Gone away to see friends for a couple of days. Out with dog after a beer in a nice pub. Oooh - nice green surface for me to run on... except it's algae on the surface you hairy nobber.
Doggo disappears under the algae - appears a few seconds later (thank god) and realises she can at least swim. Then queue a mild panic and 3 people dragging the idiot out.
She stinks. I'm covered in algae, stinky water and mud.

Not great, obviously.. But before you get hung up on the negative, it could have had a far, far worse outcome mate. Fwiw I know how I'd have felt inside, if my own "hairy nobber" had done that...
Should be a good topic of conversation, whenever you meet up with those friends again in future.
I have been looking at car's... I made the mistake of totting up the to-do list on the cheap citroen and came up with a total or nearly what I paid for it and am thinking of upgrading to something that's actually nice, now I can afford it.

It could have been far worse so I'm all good about it really. It's typical her as she is an idiot at times.
Cardio test was a 3 min step at 96 steps/min. One minute after pulse taken. To get the top rating your heart rate had to be under 87 a minute after test. Mine never got above 80 during the test and was 63 a minute later resting was 54.

Excellent result Kiwikrasher. An end to those epic commutes is looking ever more likely.
There was an 84y chap on one of those A&E programs last night, who was rushed in by ambulance at the request of his doctor because his heart rate was 44.
My lowest resting heart rate was 38bpm I believe. BP was absolutely spot on. These days it's more like 55bpm which I'm a lot less happy with. Turns out you need to lift weights to get your resting rate down lower than that.

My lowest I’ve recorded was 42 bpm (at 43 yrs old) That was taken as soon as I woke up. I was monitoring it lots when I was doing competition running. At 50 I’m pretty happy that my HR is 55 average sitting about.
