Re: Carbon Fibre Hit or Miss
Bit more information. Bought as a bit of a gamble to replace OEM silver mirror covers which are slightly scuffed and the carbon covers were much cheaper than spraying the oem items.
The carbon is aboslutely top draw as you would expect from an Official BMW Performance accessory. They retail at £250 each mirror so 500 quid of official BMW bling sitting on the drive. Not that I paid any where near that price (come on it is me )
As I say bit of gamble but confident I can get my money back if not make a profit on them so worth a punt imo.
My main concern is Joe Dickhead in his pimped out shit can of a BMW going to want to help himself to them? If he did, there not easy to get off so I would imagine Mr low intelligence chav w@nker will probaby do alot of damage removing them if his magpie eyes spot them and fancy taking them Worst case he could take the whole mirror which is a bloody expensive item to replace not to mention even more money if mounting points / brackets are damaged / snapped off
Not right we have to worry about Mr Chav Tw#t but it may be a nessecary reality in today's world unfortunately. Or am I just a worried paranoid fool ?

I like the CF. Not because it's CF, but because it's black(er).
Defo worth a couple of tenths at a TD.
Nice rims, BTW.

Actually the Sport Plus Models which were a slightly enhanced Msport just before the model change had Black wing mirror caps as standard.D41 wrote:I like the CF. Not because it's CF, but because it's black(er).

Silver for me but don't hate the carbon. Surely getting them sprayed couldn't cost much?

I like them. Breaks up the silver IMO.
Don't worry about the scrotes - if they are going to nick them you can't stop them.

Re: Carbon Fibre Hit or Miss
I totally get what your saying Cookie. But I would have to live with a very costly repair bill if they did have a go as Mr Chav isnt bothered about doing a £1000 of damage to some ones else propertyC00kiemonster wrote:I like them. Breaks up the silver IMO.

BMW want £120 each mirror but obviously a paint shop would be cheaper.DaytonAndy wrote:Silver for me but don't hate the carbon. Surely getting them sprayed couldn't cost much?
