Manning the fort and looking after the eldest as Missus has had to take Man Uniteds next star striker upto A&E for stitches.
Bit of an incident on the training ground and quite a deep open cut to the knee
Have to make a fuss of the little man when he gets back.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Just had nodded off at around midnight to be woken by a ruckus down my sons end of the house. Found him hurling into the toilet. Quite proud he woke, made his way to the bathroom and didn't get any elsewhere. Now just spent two hours holding his head over a bucket in my bed. Seems to have eased now and all he wants to do is chat.
Hope this isn't going to be a repeat of the May school hol's where it tore thru' the three of us (and poor Jess who helped me out when my little girl had it)
2 am and just waiting for him to zonk out before I try.

Doing a Monty
Jess and her kids stayed last night and just sent her off to work. School hol's here, so I have 4 to control today.
Might turn out to be a bad idea but I'm trapping them all in the Pathfinder with me and we are having a day (light) 4WDing and bush walking.
I guess if it gets all to much for me I can just leave them in the bush somewhere.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Thanks Rossgo. He was right yesterday just both of us a bit worn out. My daughter went to vacation care and had a day at a water park (they both were supposed to go) and me and the boy had a lazy day. He was so wiped out even with the other kids here last night he took himself off to bed and hour before his normal bedtime. He's pretty chirpy today.Rossgo wrote:Blade and Kiwi I hope your little ones heal up/ feel better soon

Freaky same here, only my 9 year old didn't make it to the bathroom. Hurled the lot off the top bunk! Said he woke up being sick.kiwikrasher wrote:Just had nodded off at around midnight to be woken by a ruckus down my sons end of the house. Found him hurling into the toilet. Re: What are you doing today ??
Feck Monty, I don't know how you do it. I had to go buy a bottle of gin on the way home after dropping them to Jess. Didn't help that my boy came down with a cold today, I thought it was just a sniffle but at the turn around point of our bush walk all the colour drained out off him and he wouldn't move. So I had to carry him the 2 km out.kiwikrasher wrote:Doing a Monty

There were some nice parts to the day though.

Until the endless whinging as we drive out that 4WDing is too bumpy, why isn't the road sealed and smoothKwacky wrote:What a great way to spend the day.
But I do like a good bush walk and damn it my kids are going to learn to enjoy nature too!

I didn't, Sarah couldn't wake me so she had to deal with it!kiwikrasher wrote:Feck Monty, I don't know how you do it. I had to go buy a bottle of gin on the way home after dropping them to Jess. Re: What are you doing today ??
I don't mean the spew, I handle that ok, I mean the 4 kids 24 hrs a day. I just did a full 24 hrs with mine and Jess' solo and it broke me!
The Aussie bush is pretty cool, nothing on NZ bush but after 14 yrs here I can see the beauty in it now. That walk into the waterfall is nice and only 20 mins 4wd from where I live. Some convict settlement ruins along the way, and a couple of 5 ft tall ant hills! Someone had scribed a face into one

I wish I could have had this near me as a kid.. we made do with a 'mountain' (it's a 10foot hill) and a 6'x50' dense tree area.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Bored at work so doing some online bike window shopping.
There are loads of bargains out there.
I didn't like it when it came out but the black and green CBR600rr caught my eye. I quite like it now.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Not a fan on the colour scheme myself TBH and seems priced high for a 7 year old standard CBR6 imo.
Not sure if I m way out of touch with prices but hopefully there is some better bargains about than that buddy
