Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Today I met up with a group to go and find cake!! After we found cake a handful of guys left but we carried on. In total we did about 125miles.
What happened after we found cake. I had just marked a turn off and the last couple of riders passed me. We rode down the road and went over a bridge at the bottom of the bridge there was a junction. At that junction was a car. I don't think he saw us one of the riders got pulled out on. I saw the bike get stopped in its tracks when it got melted into the side of the car and the rider get thrown over the car. There was nothing the rider could do she wasn't speeding (which I'm sure the driver will say she was) she hit the floor hard. When I pulled over she wasn't saying anything. She was knocked out cold (I hope). 3 of us stayed until the scene was under control (15 mins I guess) I was asked to go ahead and gather up the markers from the route which I did. We all grouped together at a pub and I heard the air ambulance had to come as she needed to go to surgery straight away.
I really hope she's OK. The driver called an ambulance but it still baffles me on why did he pull out at that moment it wasn't like the rider was 200 meters away she was right on top of him. His kid came out screaming and crying when it happened. Happened so quickly. Did he not see her? Did his kid distract him for a minute? Did he look but not see?
I really hope she's OK

Sounds a nasty accident. Hope your friend is ok and nobody else is too badly shook up.

Not good to hear, but her luck was in that she was with a group of experienced and well trained riders so her help was immediate and because of that she will be in a much better position to recover. The situation could have been a lot worse if she was out solo.
Wishing her the best for her recovery

I hope I get updates on this also. The rider who took control of the scene I later heard was her partner. He was so calm and knew exactly what to do. I will update you guys when I hear more but I won't lie I don't even know her name. I only spoke to her once and that was at the cake stop. I do agree it was so lucky she was out with a group of us and not by herself if she heard her partners voice at least she would of been reassured and not by a random person.
Take it easy out their guys treat ALL car drivers as t&$ts.

Saw this at my local stealers yesterday
Don't care what anyone says it's a very special motorbike and the levels of detail, finish and engineering are genuinely the best I have ever seen.
True exquisite motorcycle

Noooo!
Locked in a cabinet is not where it should be. Needs to be thrashed on a trackday somewhere.

I know you think I'm biased but when up close it is extremely impressive. Standing next to the display cabinet you can get much closer than the NEC and the fit and finish is like a Swiss watch and a bench mark for the word quality. It's the engineering and craftsmanship that I find stunning more than the colour scheme although I do actually quite like that as well.

I can appreciate that, I felt the same about the H2R when I saw it up close.

It's in another league to the H2R imo mate and when you see the hand built from billet quality you wonder how they do it for the money tbh.
I did see a H2 on the road the other day and boy did that bike have some presence. Looked so purposeful and menacing

The lady has sustained a broken femur, broken tibia and broken fibula with two spinal fractures. She will be in hospital for a long time but won't be life threatening. Poor lady.
I won't be saying anymore on this subject as this incident has gone to the police now.

Rode into work in my leathers again. Then it started raining. Great.
Looks like I need to buy a replacement goretex jacket while I wait for the Alpinestar one to get repaired.
